i guess i am moving to port colborne to be production assistant for their showboat festival in four days. for a twelve week contract.

decent.

except that im moving away from my waterloo family and that scares me a little. but i am excited to have my own room again with my own bed and my own dresser and a job that i earned on my own merits and qualifications. and i'll get a new family and won't lose my old one. and i'll have new friends and new responsibilities. it is all very exciting. and terrifying. all simultaneously.

wondering what i did to deserve my boyfriend was so indicative of what was happening.

and now i am alone and trying to learn how to live my life again after i built it entirely around him being there when i get home from work, when i go to sleep, when i wake up.

and it is fucking hard and i hate it.

only 29 days until me and the boy are celebrating valentines day in Cancun!

why does my right eye sting?

goodnight. it is past six am in my brain time.

procrastinating on reading an online article. my last reading for the term for my communications class. i've done every single reading! plus some of the suggested readings that weren't required. i feel very accomplished.

past few days and weeks have been quite busy. buried in my psychology text book more often than not, and frantically trying to finish that dumb article on aboriginal rights and self government for north american studies. i want to go to the library and read a couple things that are on reserve, but i lost my onecard and couldn't be buggered to replace it [especially since it's 20 dollars].

LittleBigPlanet is quite possibly the coolest PS3 game ever invented. i love my little sackman and dressing her up. there is nothing more satisfying after a nine-hour rehearsal than coming home and collecting those little point bubbles and swinging from chinese lanterns over nasty green fog. it is entirely diverting.

also, i have never been so poor in my life but i talked to mel and she offered me a shift this sunday and back on the crew, so now i'll start having a regular paycheque again. going without one, though by my own choice, was weird.

going to the mall tonight to do some frugal christmas shopping and a bit of grocery shopping for essentials. milk, namely.

goodness me i am hungry. i think i am going to go make some food and then head out.

yay for avoiding this dumb reading altogether!

 

so i did get a haircut.

my life in list form, since i am in a hurry [as usual]:

1. i have the best boyfriend ever and i just adore him. case in point: spent the weekend searching ontario for krsipy kreme for me. then presented me with my selection of 24 different kinds of donuts.

2. i. have. so. many. readings. good lord.

3. midterms start next week and i am already well into study mode. this means i am no fun. this is sad.

4. i am going to a wedding on saturday! i have new shiny black pumps to wear to this wedding! also, i am going to freeze and probably break my ankle.

5. i have to pack my backpack and head onto campus now for a few hours and then hit up rehearsals at ten. ugh. long day. i was up at 7.45 this morning. i long for a bungalow nap.

god i need a haircut. these split ends are driving me insane. suddenly i have bangs? i dont understand. my hair was ALL at least down to my shoulders and now i put it up and there are these BANGS i never asked for and don't remember happening. they come down to my nose and are weird.

i think derek jut ordered an american flag to be mailed to me.

...what do i do with that? he wants me to wear it as a cape for a day. O.o



busy busy busy gotta head to campus in five minutes and then i won't be back home till after ten. watching M and Citizen Kane tonight in the screening. i should bring a snack.

i am the happiest i have ever been

it shouldn't be possible to be this happy all the time. nothing is wrong, nothing is upsetting, nothing could bring me down from this incredible high.



in other news: down to oakville/orillia this weekend for faux thanksgiving. then down to niagara-on-the-lake next weekend for vrai thanksgiving.

i can't even think about anything else that's happening in my life except for how ridiculously happy i am. i haven't missed a single class yet and today i get to buy myself Ironman as a reward.

it's funny how one person can completely change the way you feel about yourself. i feel pretty all the time. i feel confident and happy and deserving and so good.




as much as i loved death cab before now, i love them so much more. we lay together at night and listen and sing the lyrics softly and it is perfection.

FIRST DAY OF CLASSES! after today i will be perfectly settled in and i love it. not living out of my suitcases anymore and my room is decorated and my plant is thriving and last night i made a pie.

i have to remember that that pie plate takes more fruit than just one bag. NEED TO REMEMBER THAT.


today and this week are the days of syllabi and no readings or tutorials and meeting new people. i am excited.

my room is GREAT. it is seriously so cute and small and cozy and lovely.
