I finally did what I wanted to do for so long, thanks to a few lessons from Hermione..” Ron was sitting with his best friend, Harry, in the Gryffindor Common Room, snuggling into the cushions of the great sofa in front of the fire. “You did what, Ron?” the dark haired boy with glasses mused, “you actually got a spell to work?” His smile was not mocking, but rather amused. Ron dismissed it and continued, “uh.. yes.. a spell...” unbeknown to Ron, Hermione was standing right behind him, “..and it worked so well! The look on his face!” “Who’s face?” the high-pitched voice behind Ron demanded, giving him a slight fright that caused him to jump a little, Ron turned around to see Hermione’s dense face. She had become rather thin and her puffy hair had lost its shine, and bounce. She was starting to look rather unattractive. Ron started to wonder why he ever went out with her, even if she was his friend. “Hermione! Um.. Malfoy’s face!” Now Ron’s mind was racing, for an explanation, trying to think up something but not wanting to lie to them. He had really done it, now. “Explain,” she retorted sarcastically. “Well,” Ron began, trying to compose himself, “I borrowed Harry’s Invisibility Cloak, you see...” she now plonked herself in front of the sofa, still glaring at Ron, totally ignoring Harry and his now concerned face, “..anyway, I followed Malfoy to the Slytherin Dungeons; which, by the way, are what we all expected them to be like, cold, dark..” “Get on with it!” Hermione interrupted, “Okay, okay, sorry ‘Mione. As I was saying, I followed him down in the Invisibility Cloak, once we got inside, into their Common Room, I took it off and cast a binding spell on him as he saw me. His face was rather shocked-like, but anyway, I just cast that um.. spell... something to do with poltergeist?” Hermione just stared, “yeah, anyway, I just messed up their Common Room a bit, throwing things here and there, then left..” “Is that all?” Hermione interjected once again, but sounding and looking a lot more relieved and comical, Ron just sighed. “Yeah, I suppose it wasn’t all that great, but it’s the first time a spell worked for me!” Harry now spoke, “and what about Draco?” Ron looked up thoughtfully, “Oh yeah, forgot about him, I’m sure the spell would have worn off by now, and I guess he’ll be getting the blame for it,” Ron now smirked at his wonderfully stupid yet satisfactory story. Hermione just laughed as she got up, “simple things amuse simple minds, my dear Ron,” Ron was rather hurt but he covered it up with a smile. As she disappeared around the corner, Harry leant over to Ron. “What really happened with Malfoy, Ron?” Ron just stared a while into the fire, “...Ron? What happened?” Harry repeated. “Oh, nothing.” Ron’s face was rather quizzical as he continued to stare into the fire, ‘did Malfoy really give in to his seduction? The strong, pale little Slytherin?’ “It was something, Ron, and I’d like you to tell me. You know you don’t have to keep anything from me.. besides, I hear you in your sleep.” This took Ron by surprise and snapped him back to reality. “Huh?” “You heard me, Ron, I sometimes get woken up when you babble out ‘Oh, Draco! ...Uh...’” Harry tried his best impression of Ron sleep talking. “I don’t dream about Malfoy!” Ron stood up angrily. Harry didn’t know what to do, his face had its ‘worried’ look on it again. “Ron, you don’t have to lie to me, please! Just tell me! I...” Ron was already running up the stairs to their room, and didn’t hear the rest of what Harry had to say, nor did he care about what Harry had to say, as long as the Boy Who Lived could keep his trap shut, he would be alright... or would he?
