ok so starting from now the new points system is in place. and to reflect this the rules on the info page have been changed - so please do read these!

I will issue a challenge every week (hopefully every monday) and you guys should write a 100 drabble based on that challenge. You may of course interpret the challenge in anyway you see fit!

You will earn points (you yourself - not a character as was the way previously) and at the end of the month, the participant with the most points wins a prize!! (graphics/fanart/fanfic from me and to be discussed with me once you win :D)

What points are awarded? Well you get 5 points simply for answering a challenge, 1 point for having your drabble as 100 words exactly and 4 points to be awarded at my discretion.

With this in mind you can now enter pieces which are not 100 points exactly, but of course that is 1 point that you will not earn for that piece.

And now for the first time ever you can answer non challenge peices - but of course you can only earn a maximum of 5 points for these.

So I encourage you ll to get writing and get your friends involved - the more entrants, the better the prize (I will not do request fic if there are less than 5 participants - and if you want request art as your prize I would want at least 10 participants (unless I'm feeling very generous ;D )

Well the current challenge (birthdays) is running til midnight on Sunday the 17th just to remind you but that's not why I'm posting

I'm here to tell you about the new points system I have come up with and the associated contest to try and get more people posting here - if no one else joins... Nyghtshayde? You're gonna win XD

Ok so from Monday the 18th - elected characters won't get points - YOU will. You can achieve up to 10 points per drabble - and after a month a winner will be chosen. This winner will then receive a banner or ava or both... or something similar that they want made by me as a reward. (even a request fic or request fanart/image-colour maybe :D )

So how do the points work? well you will get 5 points for answering a challenge (within the week it runs) you will then get 1 point if the drabble is 100 words exactly and the remaining 4 points are awarded at my discretion for how good I think the drabble is.

You can also now submit non challenge drabbles, but they will obviously only be able to receive a maximum of 5 points.

The more people that get involved, the greater prize I am willing to give. I will not do a request fic/art if only say...4 people are in the contest as its too easy then lol - so get your friends to join in too!!

This is not a one time thing. This is how the comm will be run from now on!!

(As a winner will be decided each month, this first run will only run for 2 weeks (starts on 18th ends on 30th, winner announced and new round begins 1st July) just to get you all used to it :)

Ok so last week we had another 3-way tie. This time between Sen, Sword and The Warden - each with 10 points each XD

Sen and Sword are the leaders though - each having earned 20 points since the beginning!

This weeks challenge is "Hope springs eternal" - The sub-title given to the best prison novel (and film) of all time; "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption," by Stephen King when it appeared in the compilation book "Different Seasons."

I also felt this was fitting due to the time of year - what with us just having Easter and all.

Please interpret this anyway you wish - you do not need to actually quote the phrase in your drabble, but you can if you wish to ^_^
