| D'oh, I forgot something yesterday when I did the results! We're trying out a new thing here at the  twiconathon , so it slipped my mind.
As stated in the official rules:Because Fan Art does have its limitations and we could be risking repetition, this Challenge will incorporate an additional twist to encourage ongoing participation, voting, and promotion. After every round, the 1-3 winners and Mod's Choice will have 24 hours after the results have been posted to give me their choice for the next round. It may be as vague as "Theme Challenge" to very specific like "b&w hush icons by meteor_wish ". I will then chose my favorite of those given to me for the next round. Whether or not this gives them an edge, who knows? But let's shake things up a bit...
Thus, stolenwings , nyaza , mystic_junkie , adair7 , edckezia , thracie , ksi_liv , kimus_mwah , and fanplastico (woo, that's a lot), you have until the 11:59 PM Saturday to respond to this screened post with your Round 3 ideas, if you so desire.

| Well, I can tell you this much--it's going to be high scoring challenge! I was actually pretty amazed how things turned out. With so many icons, I thought we'd end up with a lot of ties and the points being spread out and spread thin. But you guys all seem to think alike, and some early favorites have popped up. But don't get discouraged if you didn't score as well as you wanted to yet--we're only past the first round! Plenty of time for you to rethink your game plan. I would be stunned (but super giddy) if the high icon numbers and participants held steady for the rest of the challenge.
A few things to note. I don't usually do ties, but for this round I did. The reason is one of the winners was accidentally put into the wrong category and it was not brought to my attention until it would have been too much trouble to reconfigure things and ask for re-votes. In addition, another one of our winners contacted me and said she probably was going to have to drop out. However, she still earned her position and points so rather than take them away and move up the rankings, I'm letting things stay just in case she is persuaded to come back. Anyhow, due to the tie, I awarded a fourth place prize (another thing I don't normally do) to make things fair. Sorry guys, with so many icons sometimes I slip up and miss things from time to time. *Bad mod*♥ Makers are now free to post their Round 1 icons wherever they please. If you are interested in using an icon for your own personal use, please leave a comment on this thread asking for the maker's name so you can give proper credit.

| Just a minor note to let you know that the earliest I'm going to be able to get to posting the results is tomorrow night, so if you still want to vote and haven't you can tomorrow during the day. And I'll leave the post open for those who posted voting pleas on their journals in case you can get any points.
I have all the preliminary points tallied, but it will be easy enough to add the new points in. I don't want to post the results now because I need to double/triple check them since there are so many entries/votes and at 1:30 in the morning, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. Also, there are a small couple of small issues I need to iron out, so I need to sleep on it before I make a final decision.
So the extra time is there if you need it.

| HOLY CRAP. And WOW. That's all I can say about the sensational turnout this week. We have oodles upon oodles of gorgeous icons--I have been salivating just looking at some and dying for the round to end so I can use them!
We had over 80 entries, so I decided to split them up into two groups--icons featuring one character and icons featuring more than one character. With so many stunning entries, it only seemed fair. So this week, you'll be voting 1-3, best crop, best color, and most likely to use for both groups. And since you will be doing double the votes, all signed-up participants who vote will get two (2) points.
Lastly, don't forget, you can earn one promo point per week per community/personal journal for promoting the community. And if your ad brings in voters/participants, you can earn even more. Just be sure to let me know that you do.
Anyhow, good luck to everyone who entered, good luck to those trying to vote for faves, and enjoy all the lovely icons!

| This is your final reminder for Round 1--Art by Robbuz. We have 65 really cute entries from 16 members. But there's still 36 wonderful weekend hours to go, so there's plenty of time for everyone to join in.
Because there are so many entries, I am thinking of a proper way to organize the voting. I think anytime we get past 50 icons, we'll do something special to make sure everyone's efforts are recognized.
Some time in the near future, I will also post our overall challenge bonus point opportunity, much like we had last challenge with the trivia questions. So look for it on your f-list or under the "Welcome and News" box.
I just realized we're less than a month away until Twilight comes out in theatres here in the US! We should do something to celebrate, though I have no idea what quite yet. I'll have to think about it. I also need to think about movie spoilers. For our international members, when does it come out in your country? And if it's later, what are your feelings towards spoilers? Yes to pics, no to quotes? No/yes to everything?

| All right, all right! Let's ring the starting bell, wave the green flag, shoot the gun, or just yell "START!". That's right, Challenge Three has officially kicked off! I just want to take the time to welcome our newbies and hug our veterans. Here's to another 10 rounds of fun, excitement, and bonding.
Now, let's have some fun, shall we? As you should all know by now, this entire challenge is dedicated to Twilight Fan Art. All the approved list of artists can be found at the RESOURCES post. Depending on our winners' preferences, you may or may not get to use them all. But they are all wonderful, and they all were gracious enough to lend their work. So, please remember to credit them when you post your icons elsewhere.
I'm going to start the challenge off easy with an artist challenge. I think this will allow everyone to get familiar with working with fan art without having to worry about another element to the round, like a theme or style restriction. We'll add those in very soon, though. So this week, is dedicated to the art of Robbuz. She has made tons and tons and TONS of amazingly cute and pretty Twilight art. Lots of cute anime inspired work and her coloring is very vibrant.
This first post is going to be a bit longer since we're going to rehash some things for our new participants. Please skim through it--I consider it all relevant. Don't hesitate to ask me questions--I rarely bite.

| Sorry this took me so long to get out everyone. My computer has been restored and I am back to my usual routine after being away so long, so I'll be a more organized mod again. Plus, with so many entries and votes I got paranoid and triple checked points because I have a tendency to do all this at 3 am...hehe.
Anyhow, boy was this round tough. Stunning upon stunning entries and we had the biggest voting turnout ever. So yay! Congrats to our winners for shining brightly among all these great icons, and thanks to our voters and makers for making this a great start!

| WOW. We had an amazing turnout! 75% of our sign ups stepped up and made some amazing icons! I am absolutely in awe of some of them, and I can tell that the competition and quality this Challenge is only improving upon Challenge One.
Be warned: we have over 60 entries, so it's a lot to wade through and that much harder to vote on. There are quite a few special awards to reflect the amazing contribution this round. So, while you have a harder decision to make, you also have that many more icons you can steal once the round is over!
