I finally got to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 Dead Man's Chest. It was awesome! I can't remember if I've posted about this or not, so forgive me if it's a bit of de ja vu. I recieved an email from the History department at JMU and I was assigned a new Advisor...how did that happen? lol. The advisor I had for orientation was HORRIBLE and in the survey we had to take I wrote "next time have someone who makes things easier for transfers not more difficult." The guy really had no clue what he was doing. The man I have now is awesome! He and I have been emailing back and forth and I may meet with him when I go to Massanutten next month. My main concern is weather or not it will be possible for me to study abroad in London and still graduate in 2 years. He told me that the professor I have for Early England (Dr. Jon Butt) is leading the London program which is awesome. In other news, my older sister and her new husband returned safely from their honeymoon in Scandonavia. They had a wonderful time with the exception of my sister getting sick. Dave says she doesn't remember much about Estonia lol. Poor Emily. It was great seeing them before they left for LA. She and my mom are driving her car and the rest of her stuff out there to her new appartment. I'll get to see them again next month on the 19th so that'll be fun. Other than that I'm just killing time until I get to leave for freedom I mean school lol. I can't wait to actually get down to studying and buying my books and setting up my dorm and finding out who my roommate is. I hope she's nice.

Well it seems that the only form of communication I am able to do now days is via the internet. My family is too irritated with my presence to take anything I say seriously. All I'm supposed to do is sit there and happily stay quiet and agree with everyone else when asked what i think. My dad took me to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 Dead Man's Chest today early this morning and I LOVED it! I thought Jack Sparrow was as brilliant as ever. Commedor Norington's character was great as were the few returning crew members of the Black Pearl. However, my family doesn't really care what I think about the movie because they all hated it. When I get excited about something I usually go on about it until someone listens and is actually willing to show some excitement wth me. That never happens. It's always: Alison we're done with that, or Alison stop jabbering, or even worse my lil sister saying: Alison no one cares, let's talk about more important things like what I accomplished this weekend. ARGH. For once I want someone to be interested in me for more than 5 minutes. I mean yeah they were nice and brought me presents. They brought me a People Magazine celebrating the 90s which I'm not allowed to talk about because they already read everything in it. I'm not allowed to talk about the Last Unicorn dvd (awesome movie from my childhood) because everyone's seen it. I just can't fucking wait to get out of here and find people who will actually give a damn that I AM HERE!!! *SCREAMS* fine, now im just going to play video games until everyone goes to bed. OH and i said "emily emily guess what came??" everyone gave this big exhausted sigh and said "what alison" and i said "My Mac! wanna see it?!" and they go "no not today." how much time does it really take to humor me and show them something for 5 minutes? i never asked for anything, just to be respected like everyone else is. what ever. i took my sleeping pill and i'll shut up like they want. i'll post something happier tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a great long weekend in celebration of the 4th of July. I'm watching the Project Runway marathon as well as the Twilight Zone marathon lol. Nothing much has been going on here at home. Mostly I'm just killing time until I move all my stuff to Harrisonburg and settle down at JMU. Oh yes, I also met a wonderful guy on facebook named Robert. We have so much in common it's insane!!! We even have a "date" arranged for the first weekend that I move in lol. We're going to go have dinner at Dave's restaurant and then he's going to show me around town, and finally end up at Klines icecream. It should be fun. He's 22, really cute and loves Ghost Hunters and has his own appartment and an atari!!! lol. Oh yes, and we will have a tetris face off in which I will kick his ass! He's perfectly fine with taking things slow which is great. I really need to not rush into things like I've done in the past. It's just awesome to finally move on. I know I shouldn't "rush into this" as I said but I really think things will be good with this guy. I'm too nervous to talk to him on the phone though heh, we'll see how that comes along. If ya'all wanna check him out he's on my top 8 on Myspace. Sorry I bumped you Merissa lol, but I think you'll understand ;) I'm finally dating a guy my own age lol. Well not dating yet, just "going out" lol. He even asked me what flowers I liked and I said daisies and yellow roses. I told him that I've never really been given flowers before (Unless you count the rose Jamie gave me before he broke up with me *rolls eyes* after I mentioned it lol...I SO dont count that) and he said "well that might have to change". So I have a great feeling about JMU.

Other than that I'm just plugging along with my Spanish 102 class. I'm also excited about coming home to San Diego for my sister's west coast reception in August. I can't wait to see my best friend Christine. We're going to do the usual: sleep over, pizza, brownies, James Dean, swimming pool, smirnoffs, and this time we're adding a quigi board lol. OH yeah, I'm also totally stoaked about seeing Pirates of the Caribbean 2 Dead Man's Chest on Thursday!!! I'm going to the midnight showing at Lynnhaven Mall with my good friend Eric. It'll be a blast. ALSO people watch Atlantis New Secrets Revealed on the SciFi channel on friday at 9pm!! Should be really cool. Adios.

Well I'm sure everyone is curious to find out how the wedding went. To be honest I had a blast! I did cry through-out almost the entire ceremony lol but let me assure you that they were all happy tears! I walked down the isle with Mike Naple (Dave's really good friend from high school who is about as tall as I am lol). I also cought the bouquet which was exciting! Mike cought the thing that goes around emily's leg lol that was funny, so we had to dance. Okay here's what I'll do, I'll go from what happened first to what happened last lol easiest way to remember all that happened.

Okay so first all the Bridesmaids got up around 8ish and went to get our hair done. We already had pedicures and manicures done the day before. I got pink to match my dress. (My sister's colors were brown and pink). I had never had a pedicure before and it was awesome. It felt SO good! Anyway, we went to Garry Allen's where we met up with Sam, the photographer who took "candid" shots of us getting ready. Everyone there wanted to know everything about the wedding of course lol, they were really nice (probably because my parents paid them really well lol) They waited on us hand and foot! Then after we were all done (Emily looked beautiful, her hair was done part up in a pony tail so the veil could fit on her head, and then the rest was down like the rest of ours was), we went to the church. The ceremony started around 12:30pm, and we were all nervous. Before hand though we went to the bridal room to get dressed, and the photographer was there too lol, taking pics of us eating, talking, laughing, then he left when we changed lol. There were 4 bridesmaids total: Me, Rachel, Lauren, and Maggie. No maid of honor because Emily didn't want to choose between her friends and her sisters which was nice. Our flowers were beautiful! They were hot pink and pale pink gerber dasies! And of course Emily's dress was beautiful. It was tea-length, with beading on the top part of the dress and of course white. Okay then after a few pics with us getting ready it was time for the show to start lol.

Mike Naple walked me down the isle, and I didn't trip or walk to fast at all! I was so nervous! I think I was shaking, but Mike said he couldn't tell at all. The ceremony was beautiful, emily walked to Pacabel, and then recessed to Cannon in D. I cried starting from when my Aunt sang the song The Gift of Love, a song based on the reading that goes "Love is patient love is kind". After the ceremony, we had pictures. The photographer was amazing! He was so funny, and made it so easy to get us to smile and be comfortable. THEN it was time for the reception. After driving through the horrible rain, we made it to Grand Affairs. I had so much fun talking to people I haven't seen in years! Old family friends like Mr. and Mrs Malm (Rachel's godparents), Vic and Claudia (My godparents), Sarah (Their daughter), Bill and Laurna (old friends of my parents), GS (my second cousin) and just everyone who I had never met but heard so many stories about, it was a blast! I danced the night away and talked when ever I wasn't dancing. I really don't know what I was so worried about. Emily and Dave danced to "Hello Again" sung by Neil Diamond, and omg I cried so hard. It was perfect for them because the song is about a long distant relationship finally working out. My Dad danced with me to the song The Way You Look Tonight which was a blast. I only had 3 drinks too, which was the rule my mom and I had, so I was pleased with myself for following it. The food was great! Everything was just an awesome time. I'll post about the rehersal and rehersal dinner later, because I'm still exhausted. I'm gonna call Movie Gallery and find out when I can work, if they'll let me. I don't know how it'll be because I need so many days off! I need off for the West Coast reception (August 19-22nd) and for our trip to Massanutten Mountain in August. So we'll see. I'll post again laters. Adios people.

On Thursday I get to go to JMU to register for my fall classes! Sweet! My guess is I'm going to be taking the following....

History 201 (Europe to 1789)
History 395 (History Seminar required for 400-level courses)
History 396/Anthropology 396 (Introduction to Public History)
History 331/Anthropology 331 (Historical Archaeology)
Spanish (what ever level comes next lol)

So yeah, that's a pretty heafty load there. I'm so excited!!! It's gonna be a lot of work, and I'm praying for no 8am classes. Hope everyone else is doing well.

No one reads this, so I don't know why I update, but somehow I feel it's necessary. I'm going through so many changes recently I don't know where I am at times. I can't wait to escape the prison that my house seems to be every night, yet I'm terrified of being on my own once again. I'm taking a summer Spanish class, and being filled with vocab terms and sayings. The wedding my sister is having is driving me insane lol. Every little thing that goes wrong sends everyone for a loop. I eat meals by myself more often these days. My little sister always spends time with her boyfriend, and every day I realize how alone I truly am. I'll be okay once I leave this place. Once I am free to be who I am, I will be fine. Well, that's it. Ghost Hunters is on, I love that show. I've been fascinated by the paranormal recently, and I can't get enough of it. It's so cool! I also got the chance to ride in a Mustang GT, unbelievable experience. It's destined to be, I will have one someday :)

I got my acceptance letter in the mail today! FUCK YEAH! I'm so beyond excited. I was shaking. I called my older sister first thing and told her all about it! She's excited too! I can't wait to be a JMU History major! My sister even gave me her JMU sweatshirt. *Grins* I feel amazing! 4 hours away from home is just what the doctor ordered. This will be an amazing experience.

haven't updated in a while...things have been going okay, i'm alive at least lol. struggling with school, family all that fun stuff. hope everyone else is doing okay. i might be going camping in 2 weekends with my astronomy class for extra credit, should be fun. and i only smoked that one stressful day lol, i didn't do it again, which is good.
