Question
Hi! I'm Lauren and I'm a Les Mis freak. Anyway, it seems most of the characters are taken... so I have a question... can we claim THINGS? Like, you know, Cosette's broom, Fantine's locket, the Rue Plumet, etc? Or just people? If its just people, then I want to claim the Factory Girl... you know, the nasty one? Thanks! |

For you Diana Kaarina fans
I’m not sure how many people knew this, but Diana has been understudying Mimi and Maureen as well as being a swing in the Broadway cast of Rent. So far I believe she’s only gone on as Mark’s Mom and Alexi, and definitely not as Mimi or Maureen yet. I saw this on CompulsiveBowlers.org and thought it was pretty funny: Diana was Alexi and she was amazing. I know Mayumi has so much energy and spunk but Diana has this perky, adorable quality that makes her Alexi so perfect and she has a beautiful voice for harmony. She did not wear the pink bra during the show, but I feel like that is because her boobs are kind of big for that bra.

CD recommendation
Leslie Henstock's newest solo CD, "Defying Gravity" is AWESOME! Her voice is so pure and Cosette -- the role she's touring in right now -- doesn't begin to show off her vocal range. At least listen to the clips on her site. (Though I wish she'd included the title track on there.) It's relatively cheap, too -- $17 with shipping and handling, or $13 in person. It's been on repeat ever since I got it. No, I am not Leslie. Just a fan. ;-)</a> |

I've just added a couple of new Les Mis icons to my icon journal, graphiccontent, and I thought I'd share. Teaser: The two new icons can be found here. The older Les Mis icons are here. I hope you enjoy them, and please credit in the keywords if you use them. As inexplicably guilty as I feel about cross-posting, cross-posted to lesmiz and do_me_enjolras. |

Greetings!
Hello, everyone! I am Patron-Minette, and I would like to claim the character Claquesous. Hopefully no one's thought of him yet. :) I love him to death and performed as him in my school's production of Les Mis. Thanks a bunch! |

My French teacher was letting me read the essays that her 3rd year French class had to write about a character from Les Mis. Most people wrote about Jean Valjean or Javert...a few wrote about Marius or Cosette. I don't think they read a part of the book with Eponine in it or I'm sure people would have written about her. There was one girl though who wrote about the Bishop of Digne and that just rocked my socks. I don't feel he gets enough loving. So I felt I would mention that I do love him and I appreciate his role in the story. I don't know who I would write about though. Probably Javert. |

Hi everyone, I apologize for the off-topic post, but bear with me while I pretend that this is related to Les Mis because Cosette is a classic beauty. There's a new community called vintage_grace that is for people who consider themselves vintage and graceful. |

"I found my dream in the Tunnel of Love..."
OK, I can’t stop laughing at this picture. It looks like a French school that did Les Miz (not the school edition!), and besides adding both Gavroche AND Eponine’s junked solos from the French concept album, they also had a very...hmm... interesting set design for Marius and Cosette’s wedding scene. http://perso.wanadoo.fr/tathanka/saltimbq/mizer4.htmlJust substitute a "1" for the "4" in the URL to go to the first page. I know, the quote in the subject header doesn’t make sense if you don’t know Side Show. Sorry. ;-) |

I've noticed that I find the musical Thenardiers less funny every time I listen to them. I don't know why, really. When I first saw the musical, I thought they were really funny and even when I first read the book, I still enjoyed them in the musical. Somehow though, it changed and I just lost all interest in them in the musical. Has this happened to anyone else? |
