So I'm rereading the Dark Tower series. And I think all of you should as well.
Come on, it's not like you have anything better to do. The Dark Tower is a truly epic adventure! And after all, if you didn't like it, you wouldn't be in a group for it would you? Exactly.
I've finished The Gunslingerand I enjoyed my second reading of it more than my first. There is SO much foreshadowing of events of come. And not even of events in The Drawing of the Three. I'm talking about foreshadowing of events in The Dark Tower. You know, endgame stuff. It's really shocking. I was surprised at how savvy Walter is; I'd forgotten how closely his fate was tied to Roland's.
Anyway, just thought I'd try to throw a small spark of life back into this community. A number of the founding members don't post to Livejoural anymore... but perhaps they still read it, and if so maybe they'll read this and be inspired to comment or write an entry.
I suppose ka will make it so, one way or another.
PS: I'm thinking I'll use this crazy new "tag" system in here. If you'd all be so kind as to tag the names of the books you talk about the most in your entry, that would be great.

Here's a riddle for thee:
You're stuck in an arena with two doors. One leads to your freedom, the other leads to certain doom. There are two guards that will tell you which way to go - only one lies and the other tells the truth. You can only ask each of them one question. What is the one question you can ask them to know which door leads to your freedom?

I exist only in your mind. Men have died and brothers have split because of me. Great nations were founded because of me. If you tell another of me, I may be stolen from you. If you ignore me, I cannot find my way. If you use me, I become something else. I am man's greatest achievements and most despicable actions. What am I?

Riddle:
Two brothers we are, great burdens we bear, all day we are bitterly pressed; Yet this I will say - we are full all the day, and empty when we go to rest. What are we?

Riddle: I am only useful
When I am full,
Yet I am always
Full of holes.

'Twas in heaven pronounced, 'twas muttered in hell, and echo caught faintly the sound as it fell. On the confines of earth it was permitted to rest, and in the depths of its presence there was confessed.
