Conversation with BERJAYAyurimasae last night. She seemed to have been dodging the subject of the band recently, and BERJAYArebelfilms and I feared the worst; but there is a simple explanantion. She feels self conscious about her guitaring ability, and wants to take lessons. She goes to gigs and sees local bands playing really well, and she fears going up there and looking like a klutz. All is well. Phew!

12:18PM

Last night: Moi, BERJAYAelven_ranger  and BERJAYAyurimasae  together at last: Resistance is useless! And of course, a few others: It Doesn't Matter, Xerox, Receipt, Cardboard Man (oh yes) and a new song, It's a Fast Fast World. Finally decided, despite encouragement from  Y, that I am no guitar player, and so I'll teach R my guitar part on Xerox (she can teach me the casio part) and concentrate on the electronics. we have enough leads but need one or two more inputs. We really must put some money into getting a mixer. R's yamaha through the sampler is ace.

Where is Ricky?

12:13PM

Tune hunting with BERJAYAelven_ranger  last night. We nearly got one on "For Stepping" (AKA Nuclear Sun - filmsy always calls the songs by their first lines), and a couple of other ones were good too. Also: chav-ing up "Tradition" from Fiddler on the Roof. Also also: eating chocolates and prigles at the same time. It's nice. Honest guv. Filmsy found a ghosty noise on her yamaha, so we did "Poltergeist". And I forgot the System of a Down CD AGAIN!!! But where is Ricky?

Current mood: BERJAYA weird

11:01AM

Meetup last night... me, Ricky and BERJAYAelven_ranger . A chaotic run through of our stuff; things can only get better. Ricky mentioned a posible gig for next year. But it's at the British Legion! And what's his idea about doing covers? Did I start this to do Sheryl Crow numbers? Noooooo... but I don't want to shoot down the new guy. Bizarre conversation about the location of a man's g-spot ( a man stopped me in the street and asked me if I knew...wtf!!!!)

I wonder how Ricky's doing with that tape?

Current mood: BERJAYA confused

10:55PM - The Volts Show

Hiya
I just found your band and i work for this UK radio show for unsigned music called 40,000 Volts....and i was wondering if you guys would be interested in getting some radio airplay? If you guys send a demo of your stuff to us, we'll play it on the show! Don't know whether you'd be interested in it.....but if you are...send your demos [could you send two if possible, one for us and one to pass on to our review site, www.voltcase.tk] to...

The Volts Show, 3 Maes Gwyn, Aberdulais, Neath, W.Glam, S.Wales, SA10 8LD.

If you could also send a copy of the form on the Contact page of www.thevoltsshow.com, it's a Permission To Play form, just to make sure you guys are ok with the show playing your stuff. (By the way, ignore the address on the form, that's the old Volts Show HQ, just send it along with the demo)

Sign up to our mailing list at www.thevoltsshow.com, and if possible could you give us a link on your own website in return for airplay and a link on ours, would be much appreciated! Thanks!

If you'd like an interview or a session, just email jordan@thevoltsshow.com and they'll sort it out for you. But to let you know, you guys MUST be in our playlist for us to set you up with a session/interview, so be sure to send a demo down to us first!

Alternatively, you can leave a note at the top of the PTP form letting us know if you'd like a session/interview!

Hope you guys are interested!!

Love,
Shell xx

1:51PM

Right then hopefully stuff is starting to get organised. Including my English.

I'm currently working on some new songs. That is, celandinising some old lyrics.

Rebelfilms is waiting for a phone call from a posible bass player.

Yurimasae now has her own flat, but no computer. And the local library won't let her onto livejournal, in case someone says "bum" or "poo" on it.

Current mood: BERJAYA bored

Hi everyone sorry for the delay. various personal things have interfered with the band. However Rebelfilms and i have started some new songs:

IT DOESN'T MATTER
LIFE ON MARS
MONTE CAZAZZA
TWO WRONGS
WOUNDED HOTEL

The danger of us doing "Motorbike Song" appears to have passed.

Yurimasae will be back from France on the 14th so things should be up and running again after that.

11:23PM

Saturday: A good session, no recordings made but some good songs shaping up. Just how far are we from a gig or a demo? Could we play at the Half Moon and acquit ourselves fairly well? Could BERJAYAelven_ranger  magic up that studio in Plymouth she mentioned? Is this all sounding pretty optimistic?

Current mood: BERJAYA optimistic
