For this one I used a Pilot – FriXion Clicker 07 – black ink – erasable …and ooly Very Berry Strawberry scented gel pens in orange, black, & green for the cats and grass, and a little blue in the letters of the words Cat Rivals.

These two cats, one black, one orange look like they are having a fight.

And today’s is Blast
Drawing shows sticks of dynamite TNT and detonator box in red ink, and then the word blast, and the head of a person wearing sunglasses as they say ‘noooo’ when they see a nuclear blast cloud (in red) going up at a distance.

The next prompt was for ‘button’, so I drew a blue button with 4 holes and a needle & thread, and also a small panel you might see on an elevator with push button for up and down in red.
So, I was reading that the word litter originally started out as meaning a bed. It’s still used that way in some situations, as when a person is carried from one place to another on a bed.
Also, most like dogs and cats lie down to give birth and that is their nest or bed, so the babies are referred to as their litter.
A cute stuffed animal mama cat and three little kittens who are nursing at her side. All are orange and white except one black and white one.

This is a poem I wrote back in 2015, about the Tiger, which has always been my spirit animal.
I was born in a Tiger year!
~
TIGER
In misty dreams you
Came to me
When I was only two or three.
A forest dark, and deep, and
Green, I wondered what my dreams
Could mean. You were my friend, my
Spirit kin…a guardian without, within…
I was born into your year, your Tiger Spirit
Always near. Magnificent eyes, shining bright, I
Weep at what now is your plight; endangered in this
Cruel world…victim of the weapons hurled. If only we could
Be at peace…return to dreams without surcease, to that mystery
Forest, in the night, we could try to make it right. I know that you will
Always be, in my dreams…a part of me … Tiger…my Spirit Animal … 🧡

My mom’s painting of a tiger
As I was looking for Tiger songs I found this one, which is a new one for me. I really like it though, as it does remind me of my tiger dreams that I began having when I was very little.

“Tiger in the Night”, by Katie Melua, is on her 2003 album, ‘Call Off the Search”. The music and lyrics are by Mike Batt.

You are the tiger burning bright
Deep in the forest of my night
You are the one who keeps me strong in this worldYou sleep by the silent cooling streams
Down in the darkness of my dreams
All of my life I never knew
You were the dream I’d see come true
You are the tiger burning brightI was the one who looked so hard I could not see
Now I could never live without the love you give to meI lived like a wild and lonely soul
Lost in a dream beyond control
You were the one who brought me home down to earthFor you are the tiger burning bright
Deep in the forest of my night
All of my life I never knew
You were the dream I’d see come true
You are the tiger burning bright
We just finished working this jigsaw puzzle the other day. It was a new one we hadn’t worked before, and was fun to do.
There are seven (7) cute kittens lounging around in a living room, playing with yarn and other toys. There is a fireplace, a nice big vase of flowers, and pink and green plush furniture.

“The Cat Came Back”, was written by Harry S. Miller, in 1893. It is now entered into a folk tradition, and has been recorded many times by many artists. There are also many different lyrics with different endings.
This one was recorded by Laurie Berkner in 2007. The video shows a real orange & white cat playing with toys, and a bunch of little kids singing and acting out some of the lyrics. Laurie Berkner is playing the guitar and singing. Very cute.

Old Mister Johnson had troubles of his own He had a yellow cat that wouldn’t leave its home He tried and he tried to give the cat away He gave it to a man goin’ far, far away
But the cat came back the very next day The cat came back, they thought he was a goner But the cat came back, it just couldn’t stay away Away, away
Can you make a cat sound? Meow, meow, meow
So he gave it to a woman going up in a balloon He told him for to take it to the man up in the moon The balloon came down about 90 miles away And where the woman is now, well, I cannot say
But the cat came back the very next day The cat came back, we thought he was a goner But the cat came back, it just couldn’t stay away Away, away
Is that cat sound? Meow, meow, meow, meow
So he gave it to a man going way out West He told him for to take it to the one he loved the best First the train hit the curve, then it jumped the rail And nobody was left to tell the awful tale
But the cat came back the very next day The cat came back, we thought he was a goner But the cat came back, it just couldn’t stay away Away, away
The cat came back the very next day The cat came back, we thought he was a goner But the cat came back, it just couldn’t stay away Away, away
Fun Fact: Each cat’s nose print is unique, much like human fingerprints.

This is another fun kid song I remember hearing many years ago.
“Chickery Chick”, was written by lyricist Sylvia Dee in 1945. It went to # 1 on the charts.
This video is just an animated bunch of yellow chickens dancing around.

Chickery chick, cha-la, cha-la Check-a-la romey in a bananika Bollika, wollika, can’t you see Chickery chick is me?
Once there lived a chicken who would say, “chick-chick” “Chick-chick” all day Soon that chick got sick and tired of jus’t “chick-chick” So one morning he started to say
Chickery chick, cha-la, cha-la Check-a-la romey in a bananika Bollika, wollika, can’t you see Chickery chick is me?
Chickery chick, cha-la, cha-la Check-a-la romey in a bananika Bollika, wollika, can’t you see Chickery chick is me?
Every time you’re sick and tired of just the same old thing Sayin’ just the same old words all day Be just like the chicken who found something new to sing Open up your mouth and start to say, oh
Chickery chick, cha-la, cha-la Check-a-la romey in a bananika Bollika, wollika, can’t you see Chickery chick is me?
Oh, chickery chick, cha-la, cha-la Check-a-la romey in a bananika Bollika, wollika, can’t you see Chickery chick is me?
Chickery chick, cha-la, cha-la Check-a-la romey in a bananika Bollika, wollika, can’t you see Chickery chick is me?
Every time you’re sick and tired of just the same old thing Saying just the same old words all day Be just like the chicken who found something new to sing Open up your mouth and start to say, oh
Chickery chick, cha-la, cha-la Check-a-la romey in a bananika Bollika, wollika, can’t you see Chickery chick is me?
Chickery chick is me? Chickery chick is me? Bollika, wollika, can’t you see Chickery chick is me?
Fun fact: Chickens have earlobes, and the color determines what color egg it lays, such as a white earlobe = white eggs, and a brown earlobe = brown eggs.
He is the resident cat at the vet’s office, where we used to take our cat Cricket.
I asked about the office kitty, and took his picture. They said he is blind in one eye, so they called him Wink. He’s such a good kitty, nice and friendly to everyone that comes in, people and animals of all kinds. He comes over to say hi. He has a soft little bed up on the counter, too. I showed him (and the receptionist) a little video of my daughter’s cat playing with his toy, and they liked it, too. Wink was really interested in this, and wants a toy like that, too. 🙂 (I posted this a long time ago, and I don’t remember what toy it was, and now my daughter’s cat has crossed over the rainbow bridge. Our cat Cricket has departed, also. So we haven’t been back to that vet’s office. I wonder if Wink is still there?)
I don’t know what was going on with the giant elephant statue on a trailer. We were driving down the road and I saw it in a parking lot, so took a quick photo. It turned out blurry, but still…not every day you see a random elephant!

Here we have a road runner bird, actually standing in the road.
***
Several different ducks swimming down the road in front of our house. We’d had a lot of rain, and the lake by our house overflowed and flooded everything. Our street was blocked off for days until the water receded. Meanwhile, the ducks had fun swimming in the road.

So, here we have two cats having a standoff in the street. One is black and the other looks like a Siamese. I saw them out the window at my daughter’s house, but they aren’t her cats. I could hear them yowling at each other, as they slowly circled around. I think they finally came to a decision, and both walked off very carefully.

These are some tulips I grew many years ago out in the front flower bed. Looks like most were red, but there is one yellow one. Also our cat Paolo was out there on the sidewalk.

I like all cactus and succulents, and have grown some over the years. I do have lots of photos, but don’t want to overload you here, so just posting a couple to look at. 🙂
Here’s a variety of small cacti planted in ceramic white cat containers I saw at the store one day.

The prickly pear cactus has flat green pads and violet colored rounded fruits. All parts are edible. I took this photo a lot of years ago when we visited down in south Texas at Ft. Davis.
