I've been working on this mix for months now, & it's been done for, o, about that very length of time? ::laughs:: I'm positively shitty at finishing & posting things in a timely manner. But at least I get them up at some point! ::eyes a few mixes still sitting on her hard drive that are a few years old::

Er . . . well, maybe.

Anyway, this is a mix I've been wanting to do for a while now. It's a twelve-track, plus two bonus track mix for our very first companion of all - though calling her a companion can be debatable, if you wish to argue semantics - miss Susan Foreman, the Doctor's granddaughter. Susan is a favourite of mine, though many people, even now, as I've seen first-hand, think of her as merely a whiny screamer. I don't - I think a big problem is that too many people look at Susan & her behaviour from a twenty-first century viewpoint & compare her to future companions & as a consequence, find her irritating. Granted there were problems with the way Susan was written, but she still was able to grow to a degree to where we see her in her final story. (& in her audio An Earthly Child)

& she was the Doctor's granddaughter & a Time Lady! So of course she was something wonderful. & I'm going to celebrate that here.

O MY GOD, A NON-DOCTOR WHO MIX? IN MY BERJAYAteasplash?

Actually, it'd be more likely than you think. ::crinkles her nose up at everyone::

Okay, so after all things (Classic!) Who, Dead Like Me is what I'd consider my second main fandom, despite its tragic cancellation after only two series. It's dark, hysterical, quirky, depressing & weirdly uplifting at times & I love the hell out of it. (& I just bemoan the criminal lack of fic or active fandom for it - it has two series & so many great characters - WHY ISN'T ANYONE SCRIBBLING SOMETHING FOR IT?! It's not right.) I went looking for mixes & while I found a truly beautiful Daisy mix, that was almost all I found - & there was practically nothing for Mason. I ♥ Mason, & if I had a Daisy mix, then I wanted a Mason one. & after not finding one, I decided to make my own.

& yes, it did get big - at nineteen tracks, it's the biggest mix I've done in a long while. I basically went from his death & early times as a reaper, to where we see him in series one & so on, but not including the movie. It was actually a lot harder than it seems - & it was almost impossible to keep a limit on the Mason/Daisy songs! (I have too many & I love them far too much - maybe they'll be my next project) But whatever - Mason is made of druggy, vintage, sixties British awesome, so he deserves a huge mix. (& another one, & fic & well . . . you know. ::laughs::)

It feels like it's been ages since I posted any kind of mix or anything here! Damn real life of mine.

Well, here's a little something I've been working on. (I've been working on several mixes, actually, but they've sort of been lagging in the halfway stages) This is a follow-up, minus a picspam, to my Troughton's Angels mix, but for the companions of the Third Doctor!

Now, some may be curious about why both mixes essentially share a title. The reason is that long ago, on a post I believe was over at BERJAYAloves_them_all, I saw an animated icon featuring Liz, Jo, Sarah & Three with the text 'Pertwee's Angels' on it, which gave way to the joke & title of Two's companions' mix & as I was working on that one, I decided that I'd naturally have to do a mix for the three original ladies who earned themselves that title! ::laughs:: (Though personally, I think of Three's companions as being a bit more Bond girl-esque, since Three himself is very Bond-esque.) Plus, it was one of Three's companions who was my first companion of Classic!Who, so it's only fair, yes? Yes!

AHEM.

Okay, some of you here may remember how, about a month or so ago, I'd been discussing this mix as a final capper to the great & mighty Troughton rewatch-athon. Well, it still kind of is, but now, I'm only just getting to post it! (it's been on my hard drive for way too damn long & I was beginning to feel so guilty whenever I looked at the cover art sitting on my desktop!) Besides, BERJAYAnentari was a peach & helped me a lot with song selection & I felt even worse having talked about it so much & not showing it to her in its finished form!

So here we have a fifteen-song mix, all dedicated to the completely canon what just may possibly be my OTP in this fandom, serial-wise - Two/Jamie. I've adored these two since my very first Two serial & I've never once stopped shipping them. They're eternal, like Eight/Charley & just as awesome, I say. (& I'd call them eternal, because as far as I'm concerned, series 6B totally happened. NO, I WON'T HEAR OTHERWISE.) This mix is meant to go from The Highlanders to a four-layer topping for The War Games, but it may not have always turned out like that! Nevertheless, I'm okay with it & I just wanted to finally share it with everyone!

This is actually a repost of one of my older fics for my friend BERJAYAstellastars, who expressed a bit of curiosity to see my first attempt at Eight/Sarah Jane fic!

(there was - or still might be - a sequel planned for this, but as of now, it hasn't materialised beyond a vague collection of ideas. I haven't even come up with a real plot yet! & yes, it would have a plot.)

Anyway, for those of you that haven't seen it before, I do hope you enjoy it!

Summary: Temporarily sidetracked while on a trip with the Doctor, Sarah brings up a long-forgotten bit of whimsy that the Doctor encourages her to turn into reality.

Disclaimer: I'd not mind owning Eight or Sarah Jane at all! But, as it is, I don't. & that is all we can say.

Notes: This fic would not exist without the help of both of the lovely ladies BERJAYAbackinblackk, who did the preliminary beta-reading for this & BERJAYAwildannuette who did a lovely job Brit-picking this for me. Title is from the song Stockings by Suzanne Vega, which helped inspire this fic to a certain extent.

The timeline for Eight, just to keep everything straight is post-TVM, pre-Storm Warning & for Sarah, pre-The Sarah Jane Adventures & School Reunion, but you can always disregard that for this story.
