Plan to spend 1-2 hours per entry (when posting twice-weekly).
Sign in to LJ as tdr_watch. If you have two browsers, I suggest using one for tdr_watch and the other for your normal LJ.
Click the "edit" button on the latest entry at tdr_watch. Copy the body of the entry and paste it into a notepad (or other editor) window. Delete the links, leaving only the subject headings.
Read the tdr_watch friendslist, from the top down to the most recent TDR entry. Create links to relevant articles/posts under the appropriate category in your text editor window. (Abide by the FAQ, and otherwise use your discretion as to what constitutes "relevance.")
The last two links in a tdr_watch post go to the TWOP forums. Scan each forum from the linked post to the last post for relevant links and other interesting things (like awesome taping reports). Then replace the links with the urls of the last entry in each forum. (I quit doing this because it takes too long. Future editors can discuss bringing it back; TWOP does usually have more Jon/TDS links than show up on the flist.)
Check comments to the most recent entry at thedailyreports and the top entry at tdr_watch for link tip-offs and new communities to add to the watch last. Reply to the comment after you take care of the request. Ensure comments at the tdr_watch entry remain screened.
If you have time, skim the CC Insider and Indecision 2008 blogs for anything relevant that wasn't mentioned on LJ or TWOP. (They aren't on the watch list because they're so spammy.) (I quit checking these to save time, too.)
Refresh the friendslist one more time.
Create a new entry at tdr_watch. Copy and paste from your text document into the new entry. Pick a quote for the subject line and tag the hell out of the entry. Post the entry (it will appear as a locked post).
View the new entry. Check it for errors. Fix the errors.
As your regular LJ account (with posting access at the comm), create a new entry for thedailyreports. Copy and paste the tdr_watch entry over there. Remove the TWOP links. Don't forget to copy/paste the subject and tags. Be sure you post UNLOCKED in thedailyreports. Post the entry, then proofread it one more time.
