Inspired by elspethdixon and others, I've decided to make an index of my fics, forward-dated to be at the top of my journal. This isn't everything I've written since entering fandom in 2002, but it's most of it!
Note: This list doesn't include HP drabbles (there are too many!), any filks, or any theatrical_muse prompt responses that weren't cross-posted to this journal as ficlets.
My xmmficathon story, which just spent a week kicking my butt!
Title: The Story of a Wave Unfurled Fandom: X-Men Movieverse Summary: Sometimes, the biggest decisions don't seem to matter. Rogue and Scott have a talk at a pool party. Recipient:handyhunter Request Used:Rogue talks to (or is talked at by) Storm and later has a conversation with Logan about taking the cure; what if she had talked to Scott, as well, about having uncontrollable powers? Rating/Spoilers: PG for language. Spoilers through X3. Word count: 1400 Notes: Title and (fake) cut-tag text are from "After All" by Dar Williams.
Title: A Thousand Pages Crossover between: X-Men/Daredevil (Scott Summers and Matt Murdock) Rating: PG Word count: 6,250 Summary:My brothers, they never went blind for what they did, but I may as well have/ In the name of the Father, the skeptic, and the Son, I had one more stupid question... You know how those Catholic boys can be. Matt Murdock gets a pen-pal. Author's notes: Written for joanne_c in the marvel_crossing ficathon. This story plays fast and loose with comics canon, but since this is movieverse, I figured I could Make Stuff Up, Dammit. ;) Takes place pre-X1, pre-Daredevil. The summary is taken from "Forgiven" by Alanis Morissette.
Title: Just Say No. Or Yes. Or No. Fandom: Marvel(ish) Rating: PG-13 To be taken seriously: Definitely not. Note: Every single bit of dialogue was taken directly from the subject lines in my spam folder tonight. I added punctuation, sometimes, but I left the spelling.
Just Say No. Or Yes. Or No.
It was a dark and stormy night. Several of the X-Men and their friends were gathered in the mansion's rec room, watching television and having snacks and talking.
During a commercial, Logan took a swig of beer. "Ladies can sence a confident man, and they like it," he said.
Bobby snickered. "Get ready to make her happy."
But Hank, sitting cross-legged on the floor, nodded sagely. "You should see me now, i am so much more confident with the women." He smiled and waggled his eyebrows above the rims of his spectacles. "Viagra 50mg x 10 pills US $59.95," he added, lowering his voice nearly to a whisper. ( Continued...Collapse )
Title: Hello Mudda, Hello Fadda Author:tartanshell Written for:inlovewithnight for the 2007 xmmficathon. Request: Scott Summers and Reed Richards (crossover with Fantastic Four movieverse), taken prisoner by supervillains. Disclaimer: Marvel owns it all! ...Except the song from which this fic takes its title. That belongs to Allan Sherman. Characters: Scott Summers, Reed Richards. Rating: PG Wordcount: 2,178
Another blizzard! I'm getting tired of this. Today wasn't the fun, "snowed in with tea and fic" kind of blizzard either (though it looks like tomorrow might be). Instead, it involved driving in a whiteout with drifts nearly closing the roads and other not-fun things.
Anyway, sorry for the delay in getting this chapter up. "The Wisdom to Know the Difference," a Spider-Man/Daredevil/X-Men crossover novella, continued.
The good news is, I didn't turn blue and grow fur. The bad news is, I'm still not feeling great. But despite being sick, I'm posting fic. (Man, I should be a poet.)
"The Wisdom to Know the Difference," a Spider-Man/X-Men/Daredevil crossover novella, continued.
I literally started crying so hard I couldn't breathe and had to step away from the computer cause I couldn't see to read any farther. This is beautifully done and in such a way that it's not only…
Seven years after its initial posting and eighteen months without comment... and I finally arrive at the conclusion of a masterpiece. Tartanshell, if you are still around--I want you to know how…

So the rec said this fic would break my heart and by god was it right.
Thank you for not writing something 'Ultimates' dark…
