As of sometime early 2017, this and my lj are now mirrors.

The (questionably) 'good' stuff is at AO3, my fma_fic_contest story collection is now here...and now with the addition of my lj content we're back in the quagmire of my not quite systemic tagging. ^^;

I did go back through my entries through 2014 though to bother to tag fanart/fic according to the conventions of my more organized fanwork tagging here (which you can see pretty neatly here in the neat categories), but older than that disorganization's the rule.

Fortunately, I had already bought her a mother's day gift before my 12-day stint in the hospital. It was a t-shirt with a cat that said something like: "What am I doing with my lives?"

Nothing that fancy, but I figured I should make something for my mom who takes me to Mass with her every week. ^_^

For those of you not in the know, I live in a house with 8 cats. My younger sister is a vet tech, working at a nice place in San Juan Capistrano. Now Jo (Jojo, Jolene, Good Jo Hachiman (a la Gujo Hachiman), etc.) is our oldest cat. The last link to cats like Ana and Angel and Lily. She just turned 12 this past December.

Well, she's been taking Jo into her workplace for the past few days and today, they looked at her through an ultrasound and saw a huge, funky mass on her liver. If it's cancer/cancerous, they might not want to operate on it, but if it's not, there's a chance she could be operated on (seeing as they could remove a piece of her liver and it would grow back).

So, uh, please, please let her be in your thoughts/prayers!

We ate lunch at the Sunrise Cafe- we've gone there several times now.

There's a lot of work going on beside the railroad, but there's also some shoring up of the big houses on the cliffs going on.

Alejandro went swimming. I'm always a little skittish about swimming if my parents aren't there (since my cancer treatment). I just wade around the shallower depths.

And then sitting right behind me, Alejandro picked up this ENORMOUS SHELL. This is a beach that usually has smaller sea shells or pieces of them.

BERJAYA

"Is that 'Chocolate' or 'Death By Chocolate?'" I asked the cashier. "'Death By Chocolate,'" he replied. "Okay," I said, "I'll get a scoop of that in a cup."

("Where did you get that?" my mom asked when I came home and showed her my photos. "Oh, just a little place across from the pier," I answered)
