| Spacehog Fansite |
[11 Nov 2006|06:02am] |
I finally did what I've been meaning to do for years: make a Spagehog fan site. But I did it a little differently than I originally planned, and I think it's for the better. Instead of just a normal website, I've created the SpacehogWiki!
I've only just started setting it up, so there is nothing but a bare skeleton there with no information. During the next few weeks I'll be fleshing out the site with every bit of Spacehog knowledge I can find, and after that continue to provide information on the current and future projects of the former band members. (In the future, if the site gets enough attention, I'll be moving it to a host of its own as well.)
If you're interested in helping out (or just really bored), please go ahead and contribute to the site by adding information, lyrics, or pictures. Hopefully in short order this will become the most extensive Spacehog website on the net!
Thank you all for your continued support of the four boys, as always.

Not sure if anyone else posted a thread like this, so let me know.
Here's a list of the Tender Trio songs that I know about:
Cool Water Wake Up It's Alright Peace of Dirt We Are Not Alone Izz What It Izz Over the Last Hill All My Money's Gone Holy Wishing Well Mr. Martini Open Wide Plates Are Broken Raise A Smile (Edit: Added Aug 11)
I have copies of the first four. I'd like copies of the rest, and I'm sure a lot of others would too. If you have them, please give me a buzz. I have site space, and will offer them to the community.
If there are songs missing from the list, please let me know that, too.

| Still Hoggin' DVD |
[03 Aug 2006|12:32am] |

Does anyone have the spacehog DVD that they were giving away a while back. They're impossible to get at this point, and I was wondering if someone could either burn it and mail it to me or upload it for downloading. Or perhaps email it to me. I'd love to see it, I'm a really big fan, but didn't get into them until recent years. Any help would be appreciated.

| from the Tender Trio: |
[03 Mar 2006|04:11pm] |
Dear Friends of The Tender Trio,
It is with great regret and sadness that we announce the split of the band. After 3 years of playing together, other obligations and concerns have made it necessary for us to part ways. We remain the best of friends, and will leave the doors open for other music together if the stars are in line. The band would like to thank all those who have attended our shows and sent us communications from points unknown...we truly enjoyed playing for you. Weep not for us fellow travelers, for we have learned many things along the way such as: you cannot hammer square pegs into round holes, you cannot cross the Canadian border without proper documentation, you cannot park a van with your eyes closed, and you cannot fill a hollow leg without injuring yourself. Perhaps in another dimension we would've had more success and toured the world, but we'll always have Japan. We're still big in Japan, you know......

hi all! just a request.. i used to have a bunch of non-album spacehog tracks on my old computer and have somehow gotten rid of all of them. tragedy. there was "adam & steve" and "isle of manhattan" and maybe some others, i can't remember. i was just wondering if anyone had these tracks and was willing to yousendit or something? i'd gladly give you a listen to "gatecrasher" and "calling your name" if you don't have those. don't jump on me for trying to get them.. i would buy the cd singles if i could.. i have cruel to be kind but it's one-song-only.
anyway, in honor of me watching my spacehog dvd all weekend, i just thought i'd ask.. what's your favorite 'hog video? mine is probably "at least i got laid".. it's so funny. "mungo city" also.

| Notorious album art |
[06 Feb 2006|05:51am] |
Spacehog is imfamous for having so pretty 'special' album art, other than the three everyone should know, Resident Alient, The Chinese Album, and (2001:A Space)[the]Hogyssey, there is the many that most of you probably know. But of all of them that you know, or would care to research which is really your favorite. Personally my favorite would be ( The In The Meantime SingleCollapse ) 4 Guys on a couch outside, a transvestite, and the Statue that lost her virginity to Roy.

What Spacehog song truly moves you, I mean really just makes you awestruck for whatever reason. Whether it be because you just like the rhythm, you find yourself in the song, maybe even if it just makes you think or something.
Personally I am a fan of Jupiter's Moon. Overall its just a really catchy song and I always feel a little spark of happiness at "I'll love you from the cradle to the grave"
Lucy's Shoe is a close second, I get chills even when I sing it to myself...

I am newish to this community/site, in the sense that I belonged here oh-so-long ago, and then grew away from Lj. My user pic is the tattoo that is on my arm. I do not know if I will be a frequent poster, but I would very much like to say "look at my arm, isn't it nifty". With that, look at my arm, isn't it nifty. -Joe

| Where are they now...? |
[17 Jan 2006|07:31pm] |
I thought everyone here might want an update on what the boys are doing now.
Royston Langdon is now a member of a band whose name started as "Sparticle", then changed to "The Quick", and has now settled on The Tender Trio.
Jonny Cragg is now the drummer for The Twenty Two's.
Richard Steel plays guitar for Morningwood (arguably the most well-known of these bands, currently).
I can't for the life of me find what Antony Langdon is doing. ;_; I'll post again when I find out.
Please support our boys in their new ventures!

so have any of you ever had a hard time interpreting the lyrics to the first verse of A real waste of food.....i have and i've read so many different lyrics but i think its this
lemme know what you guys think
As he turns the page of a shining new code entitled, "Kissing with a Stranger" Fakes a last look down with a saccharine frown at the cold crass colors of the papers
i've seen "pissing with a stranger" as the lyrics and i heard that the song is about royston thinking that antony was a real waste of food or something like that when they were younger or something........thoughts anybody?

THOSE PEOPLE ARE THE BEST TO RUN THAT WEBSITE.
when i heard about the dvd i bought like 5 copies for me and my sisters.....its so awesome i'm probably gonna watch it tomorrow if i have a snow day. *crosses fingers* It'll be a snowing spacehog day.....in 1995 my sister discovered spacehog due to a snow storm.....THANK GOD FOR SNOW. lol. they have this thing with a letterman performance.....one of their first tv performances i think......i think its the one with roy in a skirt......i want it, lol i'll probably but it soon. lol.
as far as i can tell the quick (roys new band) has become the tender trio. but the site is still thequick.com strange......but i love listening to the audio files on the site. i remember i got to see roy preform solo like last year and it was so awesome but bitter sweet and sad, i literally have a royston langdon autographed shirt.....i wish he made a cd solo that i could have bought.

what Steven Tyler had to say about his new grandchild:
"His name is Milo William Langdon...he's 8 pounds and was born on December 14, 2004 ... the most perfect-est baby, just like his mother. This is the best Christmas present a daughter could ever give her father."
