Camp Dixie for boys was established in 1938 in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northeast Georgia. The owners, Talcott and Hilary Oakley, intended it to be a beautiful retreat for boys in nearby towns but over the years, the camp has welcomed boys from as many as 28 countries. The summer camp includes a vast lake, stables and 20 acres of woodland, which are used for many activities.
