I'm so useless at writing these days. And being organised. And being organised at writing.
Fic due for Daily Deviant on Monday and I've only written about 500 words so far. Then there's the fact that I only have my tablet to write on this weekend while I'm visiting family, so I don't feel very productive.
Well, I was nudged by my friendly neighbourhood inell to update. Apparently, it's been eleven months, which seems like such a long time. That said, I've still been reading my flist all that time, so it also doesn't feel like any time at all.
Still alive, still here. Just quiet. I'm not really one for writing about myself these days, though I'm natashr on Twitter, should any one be interested.
So this time last year I was working on smutty_claus and Kinky Kristmas. Well, not much has changed. (Apart from the fact that I haven't actually started KK yet, but shh.) And it seems that I'm attempting NaNoWriMo for the first time in quite a few years. I'm several thousand words behind target at the moment, but enjoying doing some writing.
I received my smutty_claus assignment yesterday. I really like it, so I'm hoping the inspiration strikes soon as I haven't had a lot of it the last few months.
In the meantime, though, I'm trying to get something written for samhain_smut. On the off chance that I manage to get it finished tonight, is anyone available to beta? It'll be relatively short.
Apparently my last post was in October. But don't worry, I've been here, albeit lurking. I suppose I haven't felt like there's been anything to say.
So what have I done other than work?
Well, I've done some travelling. I spent about three weeks in the US last November, staying with friends in Vermont and Georgia, plus a little but of time in New York at the beginning and end of my trip. I want to go back sometime, but obviously money is an issue. If only I was independently wealthy. A girl can but dream.
Haven't done much writing outside of RPing, which has mostly been done at tutistempus_rpg, which I really do love. I do want to do some more writing, though, but just need a little something to prompt me, I think.
Slowly but surely, my US trip is coming together. Which is good because I leave three weeks yesterday.
At the very least, I have the first three days sorted, which is kind of key. I arrive in New York on the afternoon of the 7th and then I'm going to spend two nights in a hostel which is right by Times Square. On the 9th, I'm travelling up to Vermont.
What I need to sort out now is a round trip to Georgia from Vermont and then a couple of nights in New York before I fly back to the UK on the 27th. But I'm thinking that if I like the hostel I stay in at the beginning of the trip I might book it again. I'm feeling surprisingly okay about leaving that to the relatively last minute/while I'm over there.
So right now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do while I'm in New York on November 8th. Fingers crossed I won't be too jetlagged.
