Kingsley is in what used to be his office, packing up the last of his belongings, after spending the last few days introducing classes to Professor Hughes and going over course material with her, and making one last journal entry from there.
Well, I just wanted to let everyone know this is it. My days as a Hogwarts professor are officially over. I know that you students do not know Professor Hughes well as of yet, nor are you fully comfortable with her at this time. I understand completely. To some it must feel as if I am abandoning you. I am sure others are happy to see my go. However, despite the fact that I will not be physically present at Hogwarts any longer, as long as you recall the teachings I gave you, the knowledge I have endowed you with, I have not truly left. And if any of you still do need me to talk to, I am only an owl away.
Trust Professor Hughes. She is a good, knowledgable, intelligent woman. She will teach you what you need to know. Give her a chance.
As for what to do now, simply continue with your lives. As with me, one chapter has ended, but another has begun. Cherish life. That is all any of us can do.

Why do bad things happen to good people? Is there some unwritten law of fate that says no matter how good things are going, something will always come along to knock you on your backside? How can you offer comfort when you're hurting as well? So many questions and not nearly enough answers. When I received the owl from St. Mungo's, it was all I could do to stay on my feet. Tonks, my beloved Tonks. What has she done to attract Fate's wrath? Not a damn thing. I have so much I want to say to her, to help her, but I have not the words. I arrived at St. Mungo's first, greeted by a distraught Hestia. I could not go in to see her yet. Instead I remained in the hall, attempting to collect myself. It did not work well. Then, Alastor arrived. He must have Apparated, though the Healers expressly told him not to. I did not hinder his rush into Tonks' room, however, the Healers were quite put out. He is not well and now this...it is too much. Jonathan appeared a short while later, looking as though he'd been through hell already. It seems, the women around us are falling apart. Emmeline, weakened from her own pregnancy and lack of sleep (as Jonathan explained) fainted upon reading the owl from Hestia. *sigh* She is quite all right, but the fall rewarded her with a bump on the head. Jonathan was frazzled, to say the least. After a while, Alastor had to be taken away by the Healers to be checked out. He is all right, but the stress was hard on his already weak heart. When he was gone, Emmeline appeared. She looked as though she had spent hours crying, the poor girl. She insisted on speaking with Tonks and...I have never seen anything so heartbreaking. Of all the women in the world, Emmeline can understand what Tonks is going through. *deep breath* Tonks is surrounded by those who love her, I can only hope that will be of some comfort to her.
