Hello everyone. I've found something in HBP that could be a mistake - but whether it's JKR's or Dumbledore's I'll leave up to you. In HBP, chapter 23 "Horcruxes," it says: "I am confident, however, that the only known relic of Gryffindor remains safe." Dumbledore pointed his blackened fingers to the wall behind him, where a ruby-encrusted sword reposed within a glass case. But that's NOT the only known relic of Gryffindor's. In GoF, chapter 12 "The Triwizard Tournament," the Sorting Hat sings: Yet how to pick the worthy ones When they were dead and gone? 'Twas Gryffindor who found the way, He whipped me off his head The founders put some brains in me So I could choose instead! So the question is, did JKR mess up? It's possible. Or is she telling us that there could be something else of Gryffindor's out there? Or is just a clue that Dumbledore is only human, a bit of foreshadowing to his death? hello everyone. my first post here.... name's kelsey. i'm from wisconsin. finished HBP a few days ago and have been DYING for my friend to finish it so i can talk about it with her! little Q&A fun!! 1. What is your name? Erin 2. How old are you? 23 3. Where are you from? Rochester, NY 4. When did you first become interested in Harry Potter? I was a late-bloomer. I didn';t start reading the books until the fourth one hgad already come out. I saw the movie, and thought "wow, this is cool"A and started borrowing the books from the girl I babysat for. 5. Who is your favorite character? Ron Weasley because he is the typical, dopey but funny, loyal and loveable, honest friend we all seem to have. i also love Hermione jst because she's such a Know it All in School and so am I. 6. Who is your least favorite character? Draco Malfoy because he is a spoiled bratty kid 7. If you could have any two characters tie the knot, who would it be? Ron and Hermione 8. What do you think is going to happen to Harry at the end of book 7? I am hoping that he will defeat Voldemort and be made the new Headmaster at Hogwarts, but that seems pretty unlikely given Rowling's ability to surprise her readers. |

wow HBP was amazing. and my friend just made an interesting point. He thinks that Harry might be a horcruz. does anyone think its possible? If it was true it would be really smart on Voldemort's part cuz harry would have to be killed. But i also am wondering when Voldemort had the chance to make harry one. so leave you comments about this. -thanks- |

I have just finished reading "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince"- JK Rowling is truly a creative genius! Her writing never gets old and she always manages to keep us in suspense till the very end, when she hands us a huge surprise! Wasn't it an amazing book?! I actually feel angry that Snape was evil all along and that Dumbeldore had to die. Although my curisosity is satisfied now that I am finished, I am still hungry for more Harry Potter-guess I'll have to wait till the fourth movie comes out in November to satisfy my craving. I wish to pose this question? What does everyone think will happen in the final book? Will Ron and Hermione EVER hook up?! |

hi everyone. Name's Moriah and this is the first HP online community I have ever joined....though I've been a fan for awhile and have read the whole series so far. I'm only half finished with the 6th book though. I wasn't able to start reading it until Sunday afternoon and had things to do Sunday night so I've read most of it this morning since I've had the day off work. Anyway, I am really liking Half Blood Prince and (have a very strong suspicion as to who he is). This book seems a bit easy to figure out before the answers are revealed...but then again, I could be wrong. Rowling is good at suprises. Well, I just wanted to introduce myself. Hopefully this is a fun community. :) Back to reading! |

Hey everyone!! Thanks to all of our new members!! I'm really excited about this community. I've loved Harry Potter from the beginning and am sadly looking forward to the seventh book. Somethings I'm thinking about doing for fun in this community: 1. Harry Potter quizzes - once a week I will post questions and see who gets the answers first. 2. Avitar contests - create an avitar to be voted on by fellow community members. The winner's avitar will be the community avitar until the next contest. 3. Poem/Song lyric contests - Create new (H.P. themed) lyrics to popular songs such as "Hit Me Baby One More Time" or "YMCA" What does everyone think?? |
