Okay, this is important so I hope everyone is reading.
First, I want to apologize about my own absence on the game this past week. Sadly, real life has made me neglectful and I got into one of those moods where I just couldn’t look at the computer. That’s no excuse but I feel like I owe you guys an explanation.
Donna, on the other hand, has a very good excuse for being absent. I received an email this weekend from her sister and it turns out she had an accident at work which resulted in a broken arm and a torn shoulder ligament. Unfortunately she can’t type and will be on an extended hiatus. I’ll be moding
set_sail_rpg on my own till she comes back.
On that train of thought, I’m going to be dropping two of my characters at this time so that I can keep up on both mod duties and my posting. I’ve decided to drop Marcus and Ryan O’Reily. While I love both of them, I picked them because they were both awkward characters to play in this setting. I may pick them up again when Donna returns but we’ll have to see.
Now, on to other business, I’ve also noticed there are a few hiatus posts up which is great because I appreciate people letting everyone know when they’re going to be gone but in order to keep track of who is on hiatus and for how long, I’ve created a hiatus page on
setsailmods here so people can check to see when someone went on hiatus and when they are due back around. Also, players can request hiatus status on this
post. If you're suppose to be on the hiatus list but aren't, please let me know asap. Or if you're on the list and you're actually back from hiatus, please let me know.
I’ve also created a
suggestion box post on
setsailmods for challenge/experiment ideas where players can post screened comments suggesting ideas. The reason for this is that since I’m on my own for a while I’m going to need help keeping the plot moving. Also, there are a few characters in the game that have restrictions on what sort of challenges I can give them so it’s a lot harder for me to come up with challenges for those characters. This way I figure players can offer suggestions of what they are willing to do with their characters because honestly, if I can do anything with a character’s memories, emotions or physical body in the experiments, that doesn’t exactly leave me with a lot of options.
