Mendes aiding Leao sale process
According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement is in place between Gerry Cardinale and Mendes to find a solution for Leao, who has certainly got more of a chance of leaving than staying, as MilanNews relays.
“The Leao situation needs to be resolved and is gaining traction: Leao is ready for a new experience and Milan is ready to listen to offers for Leao. Jorge Mendes is not Leao’s agent; he is certainly someone very close to Gerry Cardinale.
“Nothing has been signed between Leao and Mendes, but there is a sort of verbal agreement, a basis of intent, between Cardinale and Mendes to seek a solution for Leao’s exit. First the Portuguese player leaves, then Milan will look for a replacement.”
Just give Mendes as much money as he wants.

There’s an outstanding amortisation of 4M on him and he earns 6.5M gross salary. We’re not going to make any sort of big money on him; if we sell, it’d probably be for 5-6M so the gains would be maybe 2M and the budget cost freed up would be about 10M for the season.

Love the idea of Brahim’s comin back. He always says that Milan is the team on his heart. Moreover he’ll be perfect for the 3421’s Amorim system.

Can Uzan is a good replacement for Leao and he is much younger and has more upside than Leao. Uzan is also a better fit for Amorim system.
Milan should have sold Leao when they sold Theo because we already had Pulisic and now Nkunku so technically we already had Leao’s placement in the team. Theo was much more difficult to replace.

Leaos replacement is pulisic. The question is can nkunku play as the right attacking mid or will they buy someone to start on the right? To get pulisic happy cardinals seems to have told him they’ll build around him and he can play in his preferred spot.

Does anyone think Pulisic is going to let himself be dinked around after the chaos of the last two years? I doubt it. I don’t think the team needs to, or should build around him. Just respect what he’s done. I believe this is also true for Leão, at least it was last year with the Allegri hire.
