Welcome to selfportraits, where members are encouraged to post artistic images of themselves taken and/or created by themselves.

A self-portrait is a representation of an artist, drawn, painted, photographed, or sculpted by the artist. Self-portraits are not just a reflection of what you look like, but also of how you interpret yourself and the world around you. It is perhaps the most personal story that the artist can tell and makes the self-portrait one of art's most important subjects.

R U L E S & G U I D E L I N E S
+ Don't post photos of yourself taken by someone else -- that is not a self-portrait. Friends, family, pets, etc. can be included, but you must hit the button (or set up the tripod -- either way).
+ Don't make text-only posts.
+ Photos larger than 800px (width or height) need to be put under a cut. Instructions can be found here on how to do that. In the same light, when posting more than one photo, put the rest under a cut.
+ Don't post nudes if you are under 18 years of age.
+ If you are 18+, nudes need to go under a cut. You also need to provide a "NSFW" (Not Safe For Work) warning.
+ Don't post "cheap shots" or anything containing obvious sexual nature.
+ Don't insult other members -- treat each other with respect. Constructive criticism should be used wisely and excessive profanity will not be tolerated.
