Happy New Year! ... I know, I know, it's been a while... but I come bearing gifts :D

Happy new year to you all! I am saftely nestled back in Htown, and since I felt compelled to reward myself for not having murdered a single family member throughout my almost-3-week-long stay, and those AMAZING new Helen photos emerged just a short while ago... I couldn't resist making at least a few graphics!!

First, REALLY quickly ... I need to give a big WELCOME TO LJ to an RL friend of mine (i know! GASP! hopefully we won't all scare her to death)

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!! I PASSED I PASSED I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!! I ACTUALLY PASSED THE TEXAS BAR EXAM!!!!!! I'm a real attorney now!!! (well, I have to get sworn in or whatever, then they send me this nifty gold Bar card, but
I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

HI everyone!!!! I'm SO sorry I've been missing for so long, but you all knew I had to study, then the exam, then vacation, and I kept putting off posting an entry not wanting to answer questions anyone might have about that AWFUL exam. But I'm BACK!!! Now that life has decided to start straightening up a bit!!

You won't regret having worked too hard, but you will regret not having worked hard enough.

I've been trying to live on those words for a few weeks now... but it hasn't really sunk in. This week is going much better so far, and all too soon I'll have disappeared almost completely. I HAVE to study like I've never studied in my entire life, nor will ever study again. Just until the end of July, and I hope you'll all hang in there and forgive me for not commenting on every entry. It's just not possible right now :( .... of course I'll be checking in! so ya'll behave yourselves ya hear? (yes

dayweletgo and sissa - I'm lookin at you two in particular!!!) ... (as well as those of you out of town and on summer vacation! beware the idle hours that lead to mischief!) ::wink::wink::

I know I haven't posted in a Loooooooooong while, and it will likely be a month and a half before I post again, (ok, that's WORST case scenario, but very likely the case) so I tried to make today's picspam really wonderful. I hope I succeeded! *fingers crossed*

Yes, that's a new header!! lol.. I couldn't resist... I LOVE that particular photoshoot ...sigh... those eyes... I may bring the other one back later though... it had a soft, calming effect on me.

UGH, I hate feeling this way! I'm normally one of the most happy people I know, but today has been awful.... so here's how you all can help! Tell me a joke!!! A fun fact!!! A silly story!! I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!! Graduation was HOT but SOOO wonderful! I still can't believe my 97 year old gramma made it this long and was able to come and see me graduate! Her, and my favorite uncle being able to come meant THE WORLD to me!!! I got more gifts from my family than I could have imagined! (most of which made me cry they were so beautiful and meant so much to me)

The party was AWESOME! a TON of people showed up. No one got a head count but I think it was about 70 - 80 ish. Mom really went all out, and everything was PERFECT!!! The kids loved the bounce house too! Which I thought was a bit over the top, but nope! apparently not! This also means that i have a TON of thank you cards to write!! woohoo!

Tons to say, but I don't want to bore you all!! hehe... so I'll keep it short 'n sweet :D
OH! and, OF COURSE, A HUUUUGE THANK YOU to all of you who were SOO INCREDIBLY SWEET and congratulated me :D you guys ROCK!!! and I MISSED YOU ALL SOOOOO MUCH while I was gone!!

Now that the partying is over time to hit the books!! (well, monday, techically) ... what books, you ask? THESE BOOKS!! Why this small mountain of books weighing in at approximately FORTY POUNDS!!

"Let's Go Get Something To Eat, I'm thirsty."

First and foremost I AM SOOOOOOOOOO SORRY GUYS!!!
Why, you ask, is she sorry? In the next 7 days I have a dozen errands, two exams, two graduations, one gigantic party, a VERY messy apt to clean up before the invasion of 7 relatives, a doggy to take to the vet and get a prescription filled, and I'm sure other stuff I can't think of at the moment... in other words... I WILL DISAPPEAR OFF THE FACE OF THE PLANET (aka LJ) for one week. I'll TRY to go back and at least skim through some of my friends list next Monday, but I can't make any promises!! I'll still be on AIM, but likely not very talkative (send me a message anyway ;) ... it'll brighten my day!)

Ah, ha, ha, ha Stayin' Alive, Stayin' Alive...!

OMG!! HOW CUTE was our Dame last night!?!? LOL!! Yes, I realized that I ended up watching 2 hours of the utter TORTURE that is American Idol for a grand total of less than 30 seconds of Helen... BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!! Ok, for those of you who didn't get to see it click on THIS for the stayin' alive video!! ... and because I can...

It's been HOURS and I still can't get over how PRECIOUS she is!!!

Was anyone else really disappointed with the DVD of The Queen? As an avid (almost rabid) Dame Helen fan I wanted MANY more extra features!!! sigh... i guess we can't have everyting :(

On a happier note, GRADUATION CAP AND GOWN ARRIVED!! :D phew! fancy shmancy! And mom and dad want to take studio pictures cause my little brother is graduating and they think it would be precious to have some pictures together... i guess it would :D And apparently mom is planning this HUGE party where the entire city and their dogs are invited! SO EXCITED!! :D

Also, announcements go out tomorrow (they were SUPPOSED to go out today... UGH!) you'd THINK we know our relatives NAMES let alone their addresses!!! I can't tell you how many times we were stumped by how to spell people's names... or even just figure out their REAL name!! I assured my mom that Maggy was NOT born Maggy, but alas Maggy it is since we have no idea what her real name is!! (that is just ONE of the hundreds of headaches we had getting these out!)

Yah, and somewhere in all this I'm supposed to be studying for finals, finishing up group projects, etc. hehe... stressed? oh... of COURSE NOT!!! LOL!!! :D

T - 4 months and counting...

I cannot even BEGIN to tell you how stressed out I am (so I won't!), but whenever it does get to be too much, I take a "time-out" and make an icon :-D or search for pictures :-D My life will be changing in so many ways within the next few months that the pressure is starting to get to me ... WHY can't i just stay in school forever?? WHYYYYYYYYY!???????
