Abandoned foundry
Abandoned U. S. Pipe / foundry along Interstate 24
Chattanooga, Tennessee, U. S. A.
I've always wanted to get photos of this abandoned property.
Finally, I wasn't driving and remembered to get the camera ready as we whizzed by on the interstate.
I would love to get in there and explore.

Reflecting
Happy New Year!!!
I did not purposefully choose this image for New Year's Day. I was finding things to schedule a few days ahead and this one was just next. I took this shot because I liked the tree and clouds reflecting in the very clean looking windows. As it turns out, it can be made to fit. Yesterday was one year, exactly, since my husband's last radiation treatment for his throat cancer. You could say that reflecting back, I have love/hate feelings towards this place. Although, this is not the cancer center where we went every weekday for seven weeks, and many times since then, the office of the ENT who first saw Tony is right up there in that concave curve. I will always remember that visit and looking out to see the "Batman" building (AT&T) downtown Nashville. And mostly, I will always remember the doctor telling me "You're gonna have to keep him".

Bright colors
As hard as it is for my husband to have an illness that requires the expertise of a medical center such as Vanderbilt, I am reminded every day of how fortunate we have been to not need the expertise of this hospital. I can't imagine how hard it would be to have a child needing the specialized care that is provided here.
Blessings to those who have that need, and to those who have lost their precious child.

Inspiration
Madge Bloom @ The View From Right Here inspires me with each of her posts. My nighttime shots (or daytime shots for that matter) are not near as good as hers so I have vowed to work on them. My biggest problem is I always rush, feeling like I look silly, or that I am in someone's way, etc.
Even though I used a tripod for this one, there is not enough of it in focus. I would rather the wreaths be in better focus. I should have tried f11 instead of f5.6. I had remembered to try that on some other shots but there was not enough light. There may have been enough for this particular one.
This subject especially reminds me of Madge.
Can you guess why?
