He hadn't skipped rocks since the last time he visited the lake outside of the town back home. Well, home. The Mall.

It wasn't as easy to do on the beach, but Lex managed somehow.

With an inhale, he looked down at his sheriff's badge - it was grimy and a dull gold. But he still had it. And even though he wasn't at home ("home"), he still thought it counted for something. Even if it only counted to make him feel better.

There was the usual perpetual smirk as he went over his situation in his head.

He hadn't seen anyone since he got here. Was he the only one?

Lisey was almost in hysterics, which wasn't really a normal thing for her. She had been trying to cover a mirror in her quiet house with an old sheet and had brushed the retched thing. Something happened (it slightly felt like a boom to or from Boo'ya Moon) and she ended up in the middle of the one thing that still frightened her.

Mirrors.

She was breathing heavily, chest rising and falling and sweat rolling down her face as she scrambled through the hall of mirrors with her hands out in front of her. A voice in her mind was calling out for her husband. He had passed away in 2006. Two years before. But she still talked to him sometimes. Right now she really wished he could actually respond somehow.

There were no audible voices though. Just the murmurs she made to herself and the sounds of her hands ramming into the streaked surfaces that surrounded her.

Where was the exit?

This place wasn't very helpful. He could sense that the people he had come across so far were ones to avoid, so he had stuck to the shadows since he had arrived here. He had wandered out of the hall of mirrors and stared at the giant, creaking, spinning wheel thing for a good ten standard minutes before the sneer on his face grew too tight to continue holding.

He had moved towards the town and had searched around some there, reaching out with the Force and feeling around before finally making it to the wooden platform that held all the booths with the twinkling lights and blank-faced workers.

Caedus was munching on some nachos now.

He had no idea what a "nacho" was, but whatever they were, they tasted good. He had been very hungry. Before arriving in Revelry Junction, he had been awake for 34 hours and hadn't eaten much at all in that timeframe. He had been too busy thinking.

With the thin cardboard boat of nachos in his black-gloved right hand and a cheese covered nacho in his left, Caedus stared out to the sea and thinned his lips. At least the water was calming his nerves somewhat.

Mildmay liked cities, once he learned to rules of them. 'Cause in his experience each one had different ways of operating, different bits of slang for the same thing, different unwritten rules you needed to know if you were gonna stay out of trouble. Nothing like roughing it, which was what he'd been doing way too much of lately. Give him buildings and dark alleys over mountains any day, and not just because of the lame leg and cane that made gettin' around such a bitchkitty.

One thing he didn't much like about this place though was how empty it was. Cities were supposed to knock you down with noise and chaos and this one had less than a septad people here total, all of 'em as lost and confused about being here as he was. But there weren't no point in not getting to know his surroundings, since he'd been here a damn week already and looked like getting how was gonna be a job and a half. So here he was, wandering around this empty little town and just learning his way. Pretty damn boring so far.

Jaina stood in a hall of mirrors with absolutely no idea as to how she got there.  She had been in the Jedi Temple, walking past one of the many decoritive hallways within its walls when she caught sight of something out of the corner of her eye.  So, suspicious as they all were during these days of uncertainty and she turned on her heel and started down the corridor.  Without telling anyone she was investigating something.  After all, it could turn out to be nothing.  Or perhaps some apprentice's pet had simply gotten loose, Force knows Jacen's had managed it so often all those years ago.  Even now her eyes teared up a little at the thought of the brother she'd lost to the darkness within his own heart.  She blamed those momentary tears for her tripping and falling against one mirrored wall, at which point she'd found herself here.  In a place she assumed to be some sort of secret corridor in the Temple.  Though how one could exist without her knowlege was beyond her, if there was one thing she'd retained from her youth it was her need to explore.  And she could have sworn she'd seen every walkway, corridor, and hidden passageway the Temple had to offer.

Scott didn't really want to get a drink. He had stayed away from alcohol for a good long while (thanks mainly to his wife) and he wasn't about to jump back on that train. It was a dangerous one and the tracks were jagged and broken.

But he was dead now. And things like that shouldn't matter anymore.

So here he sat, eyes on the door of the Seven Stars and hand around a bottle of beer. He had been here for five days and explored a bit but settled when he found the hotel and the bar. Scott figured this was the afterlife and he would have all the time in the universe to explore.

Taking a swig from the bottle, he set it down on the table and shifted further into the booth before turning and putting his feet up on the seat next to him.

Might as well get comfortable, Scooter.

Most people would have found it difficult to keep track of the days in this place, where the sun only graced the sky for a few hours before sinking into gloomy night. After countless thousands of years in Hell's twilight realm, though, Saetan hardly noticed beyond making note to sleep through the short days. And it had been days since he'd arrived here, and with no Winds or Gates to carry him home he'd begun to investigate.

Naturally he had made it no further than the library before getting sidetracked. So for the past few nights he had waited for the sun to set before making his way to the dusty building and browsing among the bookshelves. If nothing else it offered him an opportunity to learn what he could about this place.

Unfortunately the section on history and politics was almost unnervingly small, just a few volumes that looked too vague to be of any help at all. Pulling one down he brushed the dust off its cover with black nailed fingers before calling in his half-moon spectacles and opening it, supposing it was too much to hope for a handy map and step by step history of this place.

Mark had only been in Revelry Junction for a very short while. And by a very short while he knew it couldn't have been more than four or five hours.

But this is so badass, look at all these mirrors!

Luckily he had his headphones in his backpack because he had them on now and he had his music turned up too loud (his old hag mom would've yelled at him if she heard). There were so many mirrors around. He had come through one, fretted for a good two hours and then just decided to drown his worries out with a song or two or twelve. He was dancing. No idea where he was or how he got there but he was dancing.

Mark figured it was all a dream. It had to be, right?

If it kept up, he would go around and find something else to do to kill time. But for now he was content in thinking he would wake up any minute. Plus, his feet weren't tired yet from his spastic flailing -- but why would they be? It was a dream.
