Hiya, all! I hope there are still some of you who drop by from time to time. I have been a Browncoat for a few years now, and I've always been intrigued by the dynamic between our favorite lethal weapons, although it's only recently that I got into reading fanfics featuring their (possible) relationship. I've spent the last few months combing through ff.net, ao3.org, and lj.com to find some good reads, and, boy, I wasn't disappointed! Although I'm a bit sad that two of my favorites—Dominoes by Aurilia and Giselle by BERJAYAgreen_amberjade—will probably never be finished. Well, Prodigal by BERJAYAelidyce, too, but the first four parts of the Horseshoe Nail Series already feel whole and complete by themselves, so that's alright.

Anyhow, I found the song Queen of Disaster by Lana Del Rey last month (shame!), and I thought it fits Jayne and River very well, so I decided to make the fanvideo I posted above! (Tanaka Miharu / TNK MHR has been my pseudonym on YouTube since 2009.) I hope my little contribution to the fandom, albeit quite late, will bring a smile to any Rayne holdouts or new shippers lurking about here.

Happy 20th anniversary, fellow Browncoats and Rayne Shippers! I hope you're all doing well. And thanks for reading my post and/or watching my fanvideo! xx

For those who might be interested, I've updated and fixed some of the broken links in my previous LJ lists of "Pretty Deadly", "Best of Rayne", and "Blue Sun" award nominees and winners from 2004 to 2010, and I've also found quite a few of the 2004-2007 fics, especially, are accessible on ArchiveOfOurOwn.

An index to the various award categories and individual author tags on AO3 can now be found here.

As always, please let me know if you find any bad links or know of additional award nominees and winners that should be added. :)

Happy [winter holiday of your choice] to all!

In case anyone is interested, I've got three more batches of Rayne fic titles retrieved from ff.net deletion.

I've just posted all the individual titles and summaries for the 66 or so fics over on my lj, but here's a list of the more prolific authors included:

CodexFawkes (22 fics)

DixonVixen93 / Orwell is watching-xoxo / Gotham Siren (9 fics)

DTS Guru (4 fics)

Planet P (4 fics)

Batox / Imashark / Saredon (19 fics)

Steplianna (3 Rayne fics, including "The Spanking Hat Chronicles")

Hey everyone! Can you believe that we're back for our fourth year already?

We're looking to repeat another successful, fun month of writing in October -so of course we'd love to include as many wonderful authors as possible!

Write 10 entries of 1000 words or more - whether they be updates for your novels or one-shots, and one original story that is 6,000 or more words! The last entry gets to be in the theme for the year, which is announced on Oct. 1st! Fulfilling all the entries isn't mandatory (though you do get a nifty banner if you do) - all we ask is that you try! If we can help even one person get back on track with their writing, then we're happy! :)

Not convinced yet?

October Writing Challenge is a great place to give/receive feedback, as well as meet other writers! We encourage all members to comment on entries and cheer each other on as we make our way towards the end of the month.

Hey.
So,

People still writing about our two killing machines? Because I am thinking about kicking up another story.

Been a while, how is everyone?

No luck yet on identifying any additional nominees or winners for the "Pretty Deadly" Awards, but while searching I did find some archived copies of BERJAYAwillow_reece's 2009-10 works related to Firefly.

Below, I've included the still-active links to her works on "ProzacandCandy", as well as the archived works.

If anyone has trouble with the web archives, I've copied all the web archive stories and story chapters into a single Word document, which I'm happy to share as needed.

The information and links I've been able to acquire over the past couple of weeks is now posted on my LJ (I didn't want to spam this community with something like 30 additional posts), under this tag: https://revdorothyl.livejournal.com/tag/awards

Everything that contains information about the "Pretty Deadly Awards" (2007-2010) can be found here: https://revdorothyl.livejournal.com/tag/pretty%20deadly

Same goes for the results of the "Best of Rayne" awards (2005-2007): https://revdorothyl.livejournal.com/tag/best%20of%20rayne

And for the "Rayne-adjacent" portions of the "Blue Sun Fandom Awards" (2004-2005): https://revdorothyl.livejournal.com/tag/blue%20sun

I have now set up individual tags for the actual categories, but here's how they work out in terms of numbered posts, also:

I'm trying to reconstruct, to some extent, the lists of award-winning and award-nominated fics we used to be able to access on the Pretty Deadly site, but which are beyond the capabilities of the Wayback Machine archive and the captures it made of the site from 2008 to 2015.

So far, I've managed to use the Wayback Machine and other tools to acquire complete lists of nominees and winners of the 2004 and 2005 Blue Sun Fandom Awards, the 2005 and 2006 "Best of Rayne" awards, as well as a relatively up-to-date (but by no means complete) list of the nominees for the never-awarded (am I correct in that?) 2007 "Best of Rayne" categories.

What I'm having difficulty with now is the "Pretty Deadly Awards" for 2008-10 (nominees as well as winners), as well as the list of nominees from the 2011 Awards, which were going to be re-held due to software failures in the system but never were.

Thanks in advance for any help you all can render.

Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone had a copy of all the Mik fics (Choices, Deal, etc) that revdorothyl said they had like a year ago. I know its sort of late but I'd really appreciate it if anyone still has those! Thanks.

I noticed that BERJAYAgoddessofbirth's name wasn't crossed out anymore, as it had surely been before, and lo and behold, much to my surprise, her fiction posts on LJ seem to be restored, with original comments as well.

I'm going to hurry and try to save copies of as many as I can, JIC.
