Railroad Bill and the Straight Laces

Just thought I'd let you all know that RBSL singer and guitarist has unofficially quit Railroad Bill and is now working full-time at Jack in the Box. He also finds time to practice with that other band, Glug.
In the meantime, RBSL bassist Colin and drummer David have started up another band of their own with Ian Wilson. They don't have a singer, but I look forward to seeing what they come up with. :)

Screw you Evan Daly. Good luck to Provost and Colin.

There's going to be a show on August 19th at Mr Daly's cousin's house. However, due to noise regulations and crap, only 100 people can attend, and they gotta be on Evan's special people invite list. Hope everyone who wants to go can make it!

I can't wait till August so I can see you guys in lots and lots of shows!

Hello bats and chickens. Sorry I haven't posted the show pictures that were promised, my grandpa died and the scanner was being used for a compilation for the funeral, and things have been busy. But hopefully I'll get them up here sometime. They're nice pictures. Maybe if you people would show some life in this community I would be inspired to put them up, eh? Yar.

Mr Provost, little drummer boy, goes to a rad band program next week, and he's gonna have lots of jam sessions with other musicians and see tons of bands and do all sorts of awesome shit... Mr Daly is still in Hawaii, doing other stuff. Mr Wagner is .... hanging out with his girlfriend, most likely.

Hang in there kids, you can make it through your finals for a Railroad Bill show, can't ya? There's a show the first day of summer break -- this Friday at Espresso Roma (also called Cafe Roma), the cafe between Chipotle and Aquarius. The show starts at 8:00PM and costs a measly $2. And the RBSL guys won't say No if you'd like to make a donation to Railroad Bill... In fact, they just might kiss you. Don't you want kisses?

All is not lost! The Straight Laces have started practicing again the last couple of weeks. Let's hope for some shows soon, hm?

Oh yeah. And um, spread the word on RRBill. Yeah.

Mr Evan Daly got some crazy metal shit in his mouth and he can't sing, so the Sunday show is CANCELLED. And nobody is sure when -- or IF -- there will be more shows. Much sadness, kids.... Send your love and muffins to Evan. And David too, he's bummed. I don't know about Colin, he has Gabbi to keep him happy. HAHA! *hides* Don't kick me.

I'm pretty sure the Railroad Bill article will still be in the DaVinci newspaper, though, so hey...

Also, Railroad Bill was working on a demo before this happened, and they did manage to record one song; Ballad of McCoy's Pub. It sounds awesome. I haven't heard it, but I can sense it. Plus the guys said so.

Last night's show went good for les Straight Laces. Glug and Chickeebob also rocked hard. And um... The Magi Cool Dudes were there too.
More people showed up at this show than last time at the same place, probably because of Glug and such. But whatever. It was cool.

Glug and Chickeebob's appearances are not confirmed, but pretty likely cuz RBSL knows them and all -- so they'll ask 'em to play. Always drags in a bigger crowd and makes for a rocking-er night, aye?
The RBSL guys also hope to try to open for Supermodel Suicide -- someday. Colin (Straight Laces bassist) is friends with one of them, so he plans to ask them about arranging something sometime.

Railroad Bill might be in the 1st issue of the DaVinci High Newspaper, hopefully an interview, article, review, pictures, what-have-you. Stay tuned.
