I'm trying to encode small videos, made of clips from standard 350mb avi files, in Adobe Premiere Pro 5. To my mind, these ought to be smaller than 350mb--they're shorter and I'm adding nothing to them. But they come out at 2 or 3gb, which is absurd. Google's failed me so far. What am I doing wrong?
I'M DYING OF THE PLAGUE. I'm also in London. The two may be connected. London is fantastic, plague is not.

I think he's a young psychopath. I don't know that he's yet capable of directly and obviously hurting someone (he's already harmed people but it's not enough for the college), but I fully believe he will one day. I almost wish he would try to do something to me just so I could nail him with it get and get him gone and stop wondering if I should be scared on Friday nights.
What's scarier than angry drunk shouting guys: planning to report a worse guy, and wondering what might happen after you do.
I know there aren't many guys on here, but for the record? When you get drunk and angry, and start shouting and swearing at girls? That's fucking scary. Don't do it.

However, a Final Destination trailer was seriously not on. The movie was PG, and they opened previews with a minute-thirty of 'awful deaths by everyday objects.' I looked away, but a little too late. Thanks for the nightmares, jackasses.

Since i posted about it i suppose i should do a wisdom teeth followup.
Surgery went fine. Nerve on right side got bumped and it is weirdly tingly like when anesthetic is wearing off but it should go away in less than a few weeks rather than stay permanently. Yesterday right after surgery once the bleeding was done i pretty much felt fine and was cheerful and shit but today i feel sick and tired and my drug cocktail of vicodin/motrin/antibiotics is at last getting to me, i feel woozy and stupid as all fuck. how house functions on this i shall never know. it wouldn't be bad if firefox didn't keep freezing up on the netbook. i do not have attention span for anything besides gratuitous rapidfire internet browsing and i am tired of closing and restarting the browser. also i am tired. i may nap again.

Tomorrow I get my wisdom teeth removed. I don't do well with needles, or surgical procedures, or stuff done to my mouth, or knowing I have a slightly elevated risk of nerve damage. I've got doctor permission to take a xanax 90min before to try to calm myself, but that means i have to be up at 7:45, which is a mixed blessing. More time to get prepared and feel comfortable with what I'm wearing and how clean my teeth are, and more time to think and think and think about what's coming. I should sleep but that'll make the morning come faster.

--- How the fuck did I get hooked on House? The number of shows I've watched/started watching in the last three months is absurd. Also, this is like the worst show I could watch because it routinely makes me feel ill and I have to cover my eyes through a good five-ten minutes of each episode. I don't need to see needles poked into eyeballs. But House makes me cackle with glee and Wilson and their weird friendship is adorable and I don't hate the rest of the characters. Dammit.
