BERJAYA Hey there
I'm a newbie here. My name's Katie and I'm an Australian fan of The Stand. I'm 21 and only just got into Stephen King this year. One of my friends could relate any conversation back to a SK book and one day she was talking about the Stand and I knew I had to read it. It's possibly my favourite book ever. It left me feeling like I really knew the characters, my favourite of which was Nick. I was sad to see the book end. I've read a few other SK books since and I want to eventually read them all.
I haven't seen the Stand DVD but I probably will at some stage? What are people's thoughts on it?

BERJAYA I love watching The Stand on rainy days. I don't know why, or when I am really sick.  I did make the mistake of getting stoned and watching it. That was so BAD! Anyhow I have a question. I recently watched Desperation, and Matt Frewer -sp? was in it and I was wondering since he played The Trashcan Man and has been in alot of Stephen King's movies, are they friends or something?

BERJAYA I usually re read The Stand every year on June 17th, but I broke tradition because I didn't read it last June :-) Of course I am past Chapter 2 but I do have a question, how come the people in the base died quicker than the people above the surface? Did I miss something?

Just to let everyone know Im in the process of creating the stand in the simms world. If any of you know the simms 2 games... when I have the final product I will gladly post some screenshots here... I will probabbly make it in a desert town and create my own houses not sure yet I already made flagg,nadine,trashcan man,lollyd henreid,julie lawry,harold lauder what can i say im a fan of the bad guys lol. But I will make the good side too including fran stu larry tom cullen mother abigail farmer jon and sue stern mostly the main characters I might even make a stephen king! Should be intresting The trashcan man looks just like him! lol.
