im assuming all of you have heard of what happend to oprah while she was in france a couple weeks back?
she was planning to have dinner with her friend tina turner and decided to pick up a present for her at the ritzy hermès boutique in paris. the employees did not recognise winfrey since she wasnt wearing any make-up and her hair wasnt did. they did not let her into the boutique because they were having 'problems with north africans lately'.
winfrey had called the president of the boutique when she got back home, and cancelled an order (5 purses at $6000/each) she had made previously and told the manager she was going to go public about the incident.
can you believe that boutique?! they shot themselves in the face if you ask me...
and also, i was looking back at one of my oprah clippings from a long long time ago...and i guess this isnt the first time oprah's had a problem like this.
a couple years ago she went to see a show with her makeup artist andre. after the show the 2 were walking along the street and oprah spotted a sweater in a window shop. she tried to go inside with andre, but people inside completely ignored her. she called the store to tell them she was outside, and the store said 'oh sorry, you wont believe this..but about 2 weeks ago our store was robbed by 2 trans sexuals and we thought they were back.'
oprah's response?
'you're right, i cant believe it!'
i love oprah regardless of her skin colour. my door, my heart, and television is open for her anytime!

I'm really sorry, Oprah and staff, but that was the most painful, silly, inept, terrible show I've EVER seen on Oprah, and that includes the past-life regression one so many years ago. The people on this show were in some real pain, and especially the first "expert" just made a mockery of it. The second one (with the funky hair, LOVE IT!) was at least trying to get the mom and daughter to talk to each other, but by the time it was all over, the whole thing was a farce. It was nothing but painful to watch Mom's forced smile and daughter's bewilderment at what she had done. You were right about mom having "taught daughter how to treat her," but what those 2 need is one of Dr. Phil's diads and total silence, not jokes and wacked-out "experts" and everyone talking AT everyone else.
PLEASE, leave the relationship shows to Dr. Phil - he's so good at it, and I could picture EXACTLY what he'd do and say to each of your guests. In fact, if it were me, I'd be calling Dr. Phil and asking him to do a followup/damage control with all of your guests today.
Normally I love your show, I tape and watch it every day, but today was just painful and awful.
