Our family absolutely loved the safari and encountering all of the animals! Feeding the tigers and watching them was really enjoyable. The staff and guides were very knowledgeable and had great rapport with the animals, which made the safari even more enjoyable. We all loved feeding the giraffes, meeting the mountain lion, other big cats, and encountering all of the other wildlife. The kids were thrilled that we were able to watch a snake get fed a turkey in the reptile house - it was very exciting! The shows and safaris are well-timed for getting lunch or a snack. We will be back!

Had an amazing time here the other day. I’ve always wanted to visit & I’m so glad I was finally able to do so. The whole experience is amazing. It was a cooler day so all the animals were out & about. The tiger splash was amazing & definitely worth seeing. The whole staffing for the carnivores is super kind & knowledgeable. The safari tour was super fun as well. The one thing I love that they do is all of the animals names are displayed. I loved knowing their names & seeing how the animals response to the trainers when being called. I’ll have to come back to try the zip line another day. We were lucky to visit on a Sunday so we can watch the predator feeding. I highly recommend to go on a day when that’s happening for the additional experience. All of the staff provided a great & informative experience & you can tell they truly care for the animals & that the animals love them back

We love this place. We live in San Diego and would rather go here than go to the San Diego Zoo or wild animal park. At Out of Africa, you get very close to the animals, and during the safari ride, you get to hand feed giraffes.

I took my daughter here for her 10th birthday and we had a blast! The people that work there are very knowledgeable about the animals they take care of, and information about conservation. I would strongly recommend the predator feed.

It is one of the best places in Arizona to visit with family and friends.
Kids will surely enjoy it. You will surely spend 5 hours. If you are planning, plan for the whole day.

Honestly, our first choice was Bearizona but we chose Out of Africa due to slightly warmer weather.
I went on a weekend. It wasn't super crowded. No wait to get in. The restrooms were clean.
I love that as long as you have your wristband you can leave and come back within the same day.
It's a lot of walking to see not a lot of the animals. Some were in their habitats out of view and some habitats had no occupants. That was disappointing. Thankfully they have frequent free shuttles to help with the long walks.
The bbq brisket sandwich was super tender and delicious! And the price was good.
The tiger splash was fun. I missed the event where you get to pet different animals. Outside of the reptile house there's a beautiful bird named Apache. If you speak to him using his name he will say "hi" or "hello". We loved him!
The highlight of the visit is the safari tour where you get to feed the giraffes. I love that they come so close to you. Very beautiful animals! Unfortunately you have to resist the urge to pet them. The safari tour was shorter than expected but the giraffes made up for that.
Over all I do feel that the price of admission is a little over priced. You can see way more animals for cheaper at the World Wildlife Zoo & Aquarium.

We had lots of fun here. We were able to feed the animals, including the tiger. There are a few shows that go into more depth on certain animals. The time spent there was worth it. We didn't feel rushed and we were able to take our time and leave once we felt ready

This was our very first experience here, and I must say, it was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I was very unfamiliar with the park and all the activities, but Barbara in the gift shop was so nice and took the time to explain how everything worked and made sure that we didn’t miss out on any of the fun.
I got more up close and personal with tigers, lions, and giraffes than I have ever been in my entire life. I got to feed a huge tiger and a spunky giraffe, I got to watch the tigers swim and the lions feed, I saw gigantic snakes and watched a very cute sloth munch on veggies, I even got to see a rare miracle - a grizzly bear waking up from hibernation!
The closeness and behind-the-scenes access that this place provides for these amazing animals is extremely impressive, and you can tell how passionate the staff is about their work. It was a very magical day, and I will definitely be back again soon.

We visited today and took the Supermog. Our guide was Tony and he was amazing! Great personality, extremely knowledgeable and conveyed his love for the animals. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! The emphasis the entire staff puts on the well being of the animals is wonderful. I can't wait to return and bring the grandkids.

i haven’t been here since i was at least 11 or 12 and i had brought it up to my friend and we decided to go since he had never been! we had a BLAST the super mog tour was definitely my favorite and huge shoutout to KARA she was an EXCELLENT tour guide, very knowledgeable and loved her little jokes thank you kara❤️

At 1st, the drive-in throws you off a bit. Not your typical over extravagant entrance and perfect signs n paved roads. It's more the actual habitat you'd probably enter if you were actual at the safari, which is way cooler than other Zoos or animal parks I've seen. Once inside, you get a free map and bus/shuttle ride up to the 1st stop seeing separate lion and tiger sights along the way. Right away there's shows planned from little after it opens. Tiger shows reptile shows, etc. We chose to walk separately from the shuttle pick ups and walk around the loop of the safari park. Little bit of a walk but so much more personal with the different animals where we got some pretty amazing pictures, videos and one on one moments with the animals. Fencing separates you but still more than I've had at any other animals park. The lions and giraffes were so freakn cool. Think I had a moment with one of the giraffe. But I was good and didn't feed em or try n touch them. You and your family will love this place. Gotta take some time and visit the Out of Africa Wildlife Park. You won't regret it!

Such an amazing place. I've been to quite a few zoos before, this was an entirely different feel and experience.
It was amazing driving through the Serengeti area and being able to see all the different animals in one shared enclosure.
All of the big cats were incredible. It was neat being able to see the tiger splash exhibit, and watching all of the big lions and tigers and mountain lion and everything eat.
I am in a mobility scooter, and was pretty impressed with the accessibility of the entire area. Their buses and tour vehicles are accessible, and I was able to load up in the vehicles in my scooter, which was nice. It might be a little bit difficult for somebody in a manual wheelchair because there is a lot of rock and dirt, but my electric scooter was able to go through most of it without too much problem.
Definitely would come back. Highly recommended for anybody who loves animals, and especially children.

Our bus driver to get us to the top of the hill was a cool looking man with sunglasses and a headband band. He said he was 62 years old. old and no wrinkles. He was a hoot. He said he was a stunt man for many years and google his name to find out more. Unfortunately, I did not hear his name because our bus was quite noisy. He talked about the animals and the park and added some jokes, too. He made our short ride fun.
Our tour bus guide Lucas, who told us he has been working for 5 months, was an absolute professional. He was very informative, animated with the animals, and really made the tour fun. He answered questions and told us some fun facts about the animals. Both drivers were awesome. Enjoyed our tour very much. Hold on to both of these guys. They are both great!

We were gifted a family season pass for Christmas. The facility is amazing and interactive. It’s incredible to see these beautiful animals up close. The tiger splash show is a must see, as well as the safari bus ride. Feeding the giraffes was our absolute favorite part of our visit. The only thing I would suggest not to spend the extra money on is feeding a tiger. All you do is push a handle to help get the meat to the animal through a fence. Not worth $5 in my opinion but you do get close to them. All staff are very kind snd friendly and happy to help answer questions and give information about events going on in the park. Jessica was our guide on both safari tours and she did an amazing job! On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 3:00 PM (i think!) you can follow the feeding truck around the park and watch all the animals be fed. That was another highlight of our trip!

Our family had an incredible time at Out of Africa Wildlife Park! This experience was truly a highlight of our trip, and I can't recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the park's beautiful setting and the variety of wildlife it has to offer.
One of the standout attractions for us was the tiger show. Watching these magnificent creatures up close was both thrilling and educational. The staff did an excellent job explaining their behaviors and habitats, making it an engaging experience for our kids, ranging in age from 2 to 12.

Blue and Mogie are helping keep wild bears safe! This bear proof canister from @grubcan helps keep bears from eating campers food and reduces human-wildlife conflict! When wild bears eat food obtained from backpackers or campers, they start to associate humans with an easy meal and they often begin to prefer our food over their natural diet. They can become aggressive toward humans and present a danger to people in the area.

Happy Pollinator Week!
One of our favorite things about pollinators is HONEY! Bees are known to be hard workers, and are very efficient pollinators! There are more than 1,300 native species of bees in Arizona. Learn about some of the most common varieties from this handy bee identification guide from a University of Arizona Pollinator Partnership. While there`s so much to appreciate about these insects, Mogie and the other bears who live at Out of Africa appreciate the honey they make the most!!

Tomorrow, we celebrate Prayeri’s 82nd birthday today we celebrate the remarkable journey that brought her here. Alongside her late husband, Dean, she helped build a place where compassion, conservation, and connection would become a way of life. Today, she proudly continues that mission with her daughter-in-law by her side, carrying forward the dream they began together in 1988. With her faith in God, the memory of Dean, and the love of the animals guiding her every day, Prayeri remains as devoted to their care as she was from the very beginning. Her life has been one of purpose, and the animals are living proof of that legacy.
