During dinner my family and I started watching CBS's "Cold Case." I never watch this show, but since I was eating with them, I had to. It was a story about a girl killed in '99 or so, and the episode is like one giant flashback to the horrors of high school and the music that was popular when I graduated. Then I had to keep watching to see if they'd play Matchbox Twenty. Alas, no. But now they're playing Aimee Mann's "Save Me," which is from Magnolia, and I'm like, wtf, STOP THE MEMORY EXPRESS!

Things that grind my gears: RSS feeds that only post a link to the feed's content, instead of posting a synopsis of the article or the whole text itself. For example,

ew_movie_news only posts a link to their Entertainment Weekly article, whereas

ew_popwatch posts the content. I'm sure EW would prefer users to go to the site to see their ads, but it's FRUSTRATING AS HELL.

If I wanted to go to the site, I would go to the site. This is why I employ LJ as a feed reader; so I don't have to go to the site!

GAH!
