Hello all, just wanted to introduce myself. Stumbled across this community after hitting up LJ a few days ago. I've loved the great Commodore since Curse of the Black Pearl. Of course, it doesn't help that Jack Davenport certainly wins in the looks department. And his commentary on the first movie is lovely, hilarious and witty. Anyway, my first attempt at PoTC fanfic is below. Enjoy and critique away.

One additional note: previous readers have questioned the relationship between Jack and Jane. While I have been trying to come up with a way to explain it, I've found it often comes down to you either get it (you've had a friendship like that, yourself) or you don't. If you are one of the latter, I will welcome any questions you have and try to explain the very tricky dynamic of a male/female hetero friendship where sex has never been involved even though attraction is present, and how that kind of friendship can transcend "normal" friendships and create an incredibly strong bond. :)

Hi! I've been watching this community for a while, and thought it high time I contributed something. In the wake of post-AWE depression, I thought I should post this fluffy fic I started a while back.
