First of all,
a very belated HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!!! (or should I say 'a very early Happy Chinese New Year'?) I am so late coming in the comm, but I haven't forgotten archiving and approving requests and entries so at least we're still updated (not neglecting my duties, see?).
I've come out of my hiding hole to announce a few
very IMPORTANT messages. Comments and feedbacks and
violent reactions are welcome, just reply to this post if you have any. I promise I won't bite ^0^
AGENDA # 1: The Blanket Scenario First-year Anniversary Celebration1.1 As if
akari_kazuki hasn't
harrassed asked perseverely enough, I'm also here to encourage the other members of the community to participate in the
Blanket Scenario Anniversary Challenge. Even non-members of the comm are allowed to join in, as long as they abide by the rules and properly inform the moderators of their participation.

THIS POST. We'll be accepting sign-ups until the
31st of January 3rd of February 2007, 11:59pm EST. So hurry hurry!
1.2 As you may all know, there will be a
MASS PURGING of CLAIMS on February 1st 2007. All request for claims from
February 2006 - May 2006 will be purged and these people would naturally lose their claim/s. The RULES clearly state that once you claim for a Blanket Scenario, you only have
*TWO MONTHS* to complete it. I've been a very generous mod and allowed extensions without 'punishment'. But it's so unfair to those who've written their stories within the two month deadline, don't you agree?
And thus, the purge.
NO MORE EXTENSIONS will be given to those who claimed during this period. You may ask for a re-claim or claim, *BUT* you cannot do so until March 2007--as a probationary measure.
Thus, when the next month rolls in, I will post a list of the purged claims.
Exemptions will be if you are able to post your entry
on or before the 1st of February 2007.A regular PURGING of claims will now be done
every 3 months.
AGENDA # 2: The Blanket Scenario Community Rules2.1 We have added a new category to the list of possible fandoms with which you can draw your claims from:
J-DORAMA or Japanese Drama. The info can be found at
JDorama.com for those who are new or not familiar to this category of fandoms. Among the more famous are
GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka), Hana Yori Dango (that airs its second season this year)
, Gokusen & Prince of Tennis, among others.
Most of these JDorama have been drawn out from anime or manga, but there are original stories in there as well. Just thought maybe it's high time to expand our categories a little, ne?
So if you've seen any of J-Dorama and been dying to write a Blanket Scenario for the characters, you may now claim them for the challenge--for both the regular Blanket Scenario and the Blanket Scenario Anniversary Challenge. Community Rules still apply.
For the other fandoms not listed in the interests, we have another Blanket Scenario community for that,
