Awhile back I saw an advertisement on a rented DVD that stated MTV was finally releasing The State on DVD. Since then, I have heard nothing. I even went to the MTV website and saw nothing. Any news? Is it already out?

ok guys i was reading baout all those fre eipod things that you always see on the net..and acording to sources such as Wired.com, and cnet they arent fake and you really can get an ipod for free..trust me i researched this all day at work becuas ei had nohting better to do..all you have to do is sign up for a month of blockbuste ronline and then cancel it after a month, or apply for a credit card..and use it once..or whatever offers they have...Im doing it..but all i need now is 5 firtends to do it too..please!!!! do this!! click here

Hey I'm new, just joined. But I am all about old school MTV. I soooo miss old school MTV. My favorite things from those long gone days...
The State - I have four tapes filled with episodes.
Sifl and Olly - again, I've recorded a few tapes and am in love with Olly.
120 Minutes - loved Bjork's appearance, Pinfield hit on her.
Aeon Flux - have each tape in the collection, don't like Charlize.
Liquid Television - so so so funny, loved "Dogboy"
Beavis and Butthead - need to buy these tapes.
MTV Oddities - these were kick ass too
Also loved the little animated thingies after commercials.
Anybody know where I can find some more State stuff? I can't find anything on the web or ebay - nothing.

Your help is needed. This messaage is to try to get the word out and help out an absolutly fantastically great New Orleans band. Downshift, heard of them? Well now you have and chances are if you like rock/metal music you may hear a lot from them as things appear to be blowing up for them. They have been described from sounding anything from Sevendust, to Korn, to Switched, to Element Eighty, to Ill Nino, and so much more; but one thing for certain is that they range everywhere from energetic, emotional, melodic, hard core music that will blow you away.

still on MTV, and they had that "contest" for Valentines Day where a
viewer could come on MTV and marry Pauly Shore?

Hey all! I'm new here but have been dying to talk about the MTV I knew and loved. Two classics I really miss are Apt 2F (starring the Sklar Brothers), Buzzkill (one of the funniest prank shows around- does anyone remember that one?), and the kickass gameshow Idiot Savants, hosted by the always hilarious Greg Fitzsimmons I aspired to be on that show. Oh, and I miss the real Road Rules where it was about a trip of a lifetime and making friends, not the bullshit voting people off.
