This is a CLOSED community to help transition creative writers from fanfic to, hopefully, publishable original fiction. There are several rules.
1) You must be invited to join, no exceptions.
2) Only members can post/see entries/comment.
3) The criticism offered is constructive. Flaming, trolling, or being nasty for the sake of it is forbidden. Once you'll be warned and a second infraction will involve immediate banning from the community.
4) No fighting. Again, one warning and then you're out if it happens twice.
5) This is a place for advice, support, and tips of the trade so feel free to share!
6) Some of the excerpts here will be WIPs for some works that are looking to get epublished or otherwise published. As a result, the works are confidential and to be kept only here and discussed among members.
7) There is no plagiarism allowed. If you do it, automatic banning without any reprieve.
8) All content posted must be respected.
9) If you, as a writer, get concrit you're frustrated with, please do not tantrum or get upset. Everyone can try to work through it for a better story.
10) Please watch for spelling, grammar, and syntax errors BEFORE posting. Give it a good read through or even print it out and read over before posting here.
11) Loyal, constant readers and concrit givers will be given acknowledgement in dedications of anything that makes it to publication.
12) When you do start posting, please tag by a) author, b) genre, c)type of work, d) title, and e) rating (up to NC-17).
For Example, if I post a romance poem called "Love" that was racy but not quite hardcore, it could be like:
13) If you're writing out a novel, you should try and ensure it's in proper novel format.
14) Screenplays, scripts, poems, songs, comics, non-fiction works are all allowed.
15) Artists will be selected and encouraged to join as we go for help with cover art.
16) You may post links to helpful writing advice articles/sites/blogs, formatting references, research materials and sites for people who need help getting background info for stories, and anything that deals with helping to create accurate, well-formatted fiction. It still must relate to writing in some way.
17) You may not make posts about something random like your dog or a movie that's out (unless say it's something like The Hunger Games and you want to talk about how the books/movie inspire you as a writer or something similar).
18) You can make check in posts about how progress is coming and, yes, can share frustrations with writer's block as on topic as we've ALL been there.
19) If you're here to mainly write, remember to also give feedback and that we all are looking for help with our work. Give to get ;)
