Sorry about that. I did mean to post the revised Chapter 1 of "Conspiracy's Doorstep" last week. And after I didn't do that, I revised Chapter 2 as well...which was originally part of Chapter 1, so I guess that's not much of an accomplishment. Wow...I keep posting to the wrong group. I'm such a dork. Anyway, I'm thinking I'm going to continue Conspiracy's Doorstep for NaNo this year. I finally got a little free time, so I managed to do the rewrite of the first chapter. I'm going to post it tonight when I get home for folks to critique or whatever. I'm still looking for critiques on Yakuza! too, if anyone's interested. If I can get that sorted out, maybe I can finish the series for the next ScriptFrenzy. LOL

Well, we haven't been doing much in awhile. So, just because it's ScriptFrenzy, and I'm actually working on Yakuza!, here's Issue 1. It's probably not that great...it bounces between the various factions involved with the story, and it's kind of slow, but this is just a set up to the bigger story, which I hope will have more action.

Hey all, Del Rey is running a writing contest...the winner will get their manuscript reviewed by one of the top editors at Del Rey. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll post the link here. There are only a few genres acceptable, and the deadline is March 31st. Manuscripts have to be under 150,000 words. I'm thinking I may just have to finish my sci-fi piece from NaNo 2009, and submit it.

Chapter 3 is here, at 2,220 words.
Chapter 4 is right here at 2,207 words.
As for what I would like out of a critique: I would love it if you guys could give me close to a line by line, but if you don't feel there's enough to comment on specifically, then that's fine. I'm okay with sweeping critiques, too.

Okay, since I haven't been working on Yakuza! like I should be, I figured it might be fun for me to post the first chapter of the project I did for NaNo 2009. This is a sci-fi story, and only about half done. I really should get back to it one day. It's called Conspiracy's Doorstep, and it's about a set of twins who are embroiled in a plot by the "Syndicate" to take control of their psychic powers. The first chapter is quite long, just under 5,000 words, so please feel free to take your time. I haven't done much editing to it either, so there will be errors. Enjoy!
