Because why buy those overpriced little packets when you can make your own for a fraction of the price?

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 6 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 4 tablespoons sea salt
  • 4 tablespoons black pepper

Mix ingredients in a large jar. Seal. That's it.

Add as much seasoning as you like to browned ground beef -- I use 3 tbsp. Mix with 1 tsp cornstarch and a little water.

Like pretty much all of my recipes, this one has been cobbled together over time from multiple sources and refined via practice.

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb zucchini noodles
  • 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic, in whatever mode you have it lying around
  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

Serves 2. About 220 calories per serving.

  1. Melt butter and olive oil in a large nonstick pan.
  2. Add the garlic. Let sizzle for one minute.
  3. Gradually add the shrimp and zucchini noodles, stirring well as you do.
  4. Add lemon juice while cooking.
  5. Cook about five minutes or until shrimp and noodles are warm, stirring often.
