I was part of this community but posted last about 3 years ago.
Got a different name...forgot the last password/blog and username too.
I've got schizophrenia and coming off meds over this year. Prior to that was 5+ years on meds.
I was diagnosed at nineteen, now I'm 25.
I still see a shrink but stopped for two years before this year. |

1. How you found the group: I was having an explore of the site and it popped up (I'm new to livejournal, not just to the group)
2. Why you've joined us: It sounded like somewhere I'd fit in. I suffer from mental illness including OCD, anxiety disorder and bipolar.
3. A little about your spiritual/philosophical path: Hard to do... My path borrows strongly from Sumerian religion but also from my family's practices and various other things. I've been involved in chaos magick fairly heavily in the past, not so much now. All this time and I'm still learning and changing what I do. |

Hey everyone,
I was wondering, have their been any studies or anything about the prevalence of mental health issues in the Pagan community? It's something I've been curious about for a while, but Googling the subject has brought up nothing... Help, O internets?
Also, for those of you who go to [secular] therapy/counseling/whatever, do you discuss Pagan-related things with them? Why/why not?
I don't think I've introduced myself, so... Hi all, I'm Charlie, I'm 20 years old and while I haven't dedicated myself yet, I've been studying Paganism for a couple of months now. I love it a lot. I also suffer from depression, and I think I might have Borderline Personality Disorder as well? Silly psychologists being scared of diagnoses...

does anyone here have a specific sort of ability like 6th sense or other phsychic type things?I tend to have alot going on with me thru dreams and i can sense energy in places and thru people very well.im just curious as to what your abilities and/or curiosities are.i love the paranormal and ghosts too but im kinda afraid of them coz i can sense and sometimes see them!I also talk to my dead best friend in dreams every so often.
also,what are some of your favorite dieities?ive always been a fan of morpheus even though im an odinist.I tend to feel close to godesses which are strong women yet have a soft side,like Kali
ive been getting more into my spirituality now thankfully,since i was sliping into depression quite bad for awhile!im determined not to let my mental illnesses rule me as much anymore now that im stronger spiritualy |

ive been getting back into paganism lately and ive been getting into mental illness lately too.my depression and anorexia are taking a turn for the worse and that sucks but i feel powerless to stop it.its like 2 steps forward,1 step back kinda process,but i am trying to strengthen my spiritual side more so i can rely on it to get me thru.i do want to be more positive in my belifs.
havnt heard much from anyone here lately.this is a good community,im trying to wake it back up again! |
