Live Music, without the hassle of going to downtown Nashville! Sugar Blue Lime is performing at Two Roads Cafe this coming Friday, March 12, 7pm-9pm! From their website: "Sugar Lime Blue is capturing listeners with its grooving style of blues infused rock. Drawing from an ever expanding list of original material and far reaching covers, SLB will keep listeners on their toes waiting to hear what is next and how it is going to be played. Pulling from staple R&B artist like Otis Redding, Al Green and Bill Withers, classic jam style bands like Little Feat and the Grateful Dead, and current day rockers like Sheryl Crow, and the Black Crowes, Sugar Lime Blue pulls off a retro type of vibe with a sound that you probably won't be able to compare immediately to any one artist." Two Roads Cafe is an independently owned eatery with a committment to community and environmental sustainability. Chose from their delicious menu, and check out the calendar of events to see if anything else strikes your fancy. French Tutor $12.50/hour
Hello to any college/high school students who might be taking French. I have had 10 years of French classes, including one year studying at the Sorbonne in Paris, and absolutely adore the language. I have tons of books and educational aids to assist in tutoring. Can tutor in all levels of French - middle school, high school and college! My schedule is flexible and I can tutor someone as long as they need it or until the lightbulb goes off and they get it! :) I am willing to drive to meet you somewhere in case there's a distance between us. Contact me if you have any questions! [I can also tutor in English, writing, & computer skills] | | Friday, October 17th, 2008 | 9:40 am [daikaiju]

New to Nashville
I am moving to Nashville in Februaryish and am looking for an apartment. I'll be living alone and attending Paul Mitchell the School. I want something safe and comfortable.. also affordable. I have been told to avoid the Antioch area, but I don't know who or what to believe. I would really appreciate any apartment recommendations or any "stay away from here!" responses. My school is in Antioch right off the Hickory Hollow exit and I would like to be close enough that I don't have to drive an hour with traffic every morning, but I want to be in a nice, affordable area.. which doesn't seem to be possible around school. I am going to be moving about 2-3 hours from home depending on which side of Nashville I move to and would appreciate any advice at all for someone moving to your city for the first time or just advice in general. I love advice. I look forward to becoming a Nashvillian soon and thanks so much for any replies! x-posted in </b></a> nashvillians</a> | 9:28 am [xdixiex]

Hair Salon
I just moved to Nashville from Orlando and am looking for a cool place to get my hair cut. A lot of places I went in Orlando ended up butchering my hair or not giving me what I wanted and then I found the PERFECT place called The Tabloid that specialized in funky, popular haircuts. What kinds of places are around Nashville? Any suggestions? Thanks! | | Wednesday, September 24th, 2008 | 9:39 am [xdixiex]
