I had something of a late start today since I went to a Halloween party last night: There was drinking involved, and I only settled in to writing about six this evening. (I'm properly ashamed, I assure you.)

Since I don't want to post the first chapter until it's actually finished, I'm just going to leave the day's wordcount instead: First chapter will be complete and posted tomorrow.
