MUCHAS GRACIAS, SENOR LOBO

Europe has Paul Naschy to thank for bringing the classic monsters to life in his native Spain and other countries. When the dubbed versions of his werewolf and vampire and hunchback movies hit the states, we saw that Naschy took his monsters seriously. As a result, he has left fans the world over a legacy of monster movies that will endure.

The staff at CREEPY IMAGES magazine have published a tribute to Paul Naschy in the way of a hardbound, deluxe volume entitled -- aptly enough -- MUCHAS GRACIAS SENOR LOBO. Available through their website, this book looks like a definitive collection of Naschy's work.

PELICULA DE TERROR: EL HOMBRE QUE VIO LLORAR A FRANKENSTEIN

Making the rounds at the various film festivals is an exciting new documentary: THE MAN WHO SAW FRANKENSTEIN CRY, a film retrospective on the late, wayyyy great Spanish actor and international monster movie star, Paul Naschy.

Produced by SCIFIWORLD, the preeminent Spanish genre movie magazine, distributed by One-Eyed Films, and  lensed by Spanish director Angel Agudo, the 74-minute film is introduced by Mick Garris and includes reminisces on the life of Mr. Naschy by such luminaries as John Landis, Joe Dante, and Caroline Munroe. Release on Region 1 DVD will be much anticipated. Viva el Maestro de Terror!
