4:04PM - Vampire Ball
I want to do a Vampire Ball for our teens in the community. I was thinking of having a band or DJ (must be dark!). I am just getting ideas as I don't have a budget yet and need to do more planning. Any suggestions on locals to use? Thanks for any input.

Friends,
As many of you know I’m launching my own website in January to act as a portfolio for my business writing. It will be a portal for my Freelance Writing business. It will also make it easy to show samples of my writing to potential clients anywhere in the world- except for that country Borat is from, I think.
I’m excited about starting up my own business and I want you to be a part of it, and I need your help promoting myself and building a more exciting portfolio.
I’m so excited that I’m willing to work ABSOLUTELY FREE.
I don’t have the kind of up-to-date business writing portfolio that I’d really like to show off, but I’m willing to work my backside off to get it.
That’s where you come in. If you or someone you know has a business project that needs a wordsmith, I’m as cheap as they come—FREE.
To build my own portfolio I’ll write brochures, flyers, press releases, ad copy, radio scripts etc. I’ve had the experience, but many of the pieces I’ve already written were when I worked for others. I don’t have the permission to use them to showcase my talents.
I’m excited to let you, my friends and family know about my new business. Not enough to write you personally or call you or anything, but still… it’s pretty darned exciting, right [Insert Name here]?
And just as importantly, your good wishes and thoughts are much appreciated as well.
If you or anyone you know would like to take advantage of this free offer while it lasts, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Michael Duke

9:42PM - Anyone know of a place that sells screen printed polo's or buttondowns?
Hey, I've got a question, Does anyone know of any stores (online or offline) that sell graphic/screen printed cool polo and button down style shirts? I'd just like to find something different rather than solid colors or stripes for work. I've got 2 graphic polos, one with a skull and wings and another with an eastern dragon from a brand called Stranded sold at Target. Just pretty much anything. I'm having a hard time finding stores other than hot topic to carry this kinda stuff. Then my 2nd problem, is finding cool stuff that my tall butt can wear. Gotta find them shirts in 2x or so.
So anyone have any ideas, let me know!
Thanks

7:55AM - Dollar Books/Sidewalk Sale
NewSouth Books is having a sidewalk sale this week.
We have a really great assortment of travel books, classics, health books, text books, even some antique books—and they are all a dollar each!
There are also boxes of romance novels (think Danielle Steele) you can buy for $5 a box or .25 apiece.
NewSouth Books is located on the corner of S. Court Street and Washington across from the Colonial Bank parking garage and the Federal Courthouse.
My office is in the front of the bookstore so make sure you say hello if you come to the sale—I'm the short brunette most often seen floating in a sea of paperwork.
For more information, please call 334-834-3556 and ask for Lyndsey.

Has anyone seen any sign of a manhunt? The town doesn't appear to be crawling with FBI and the cops aren't really doing anything different.
Also, why did I have to read about this in the Washington Times when WSFA is talking about James Carter resigning as superintendent of Selma's schools?
Weird.
