Interesting worlde. I ahve always observed the name Sybil as the name of the character from Silent Hill 2 game on Playstation, it will be a challenge using it as anything else 😀

I do admit I think of it more as a name but I think of the old film with Sally Field as I haven’t seen Silent Hill 2 haha

Rather long, but then my mystery pieces tend to be that way!

I don’t mind the length at all and don’t worry most of the prompts don’t have a word limit

I started a new medication yesterday. I’m supposed to take it at bedtime, but I’m half zombie today, so I think I’ll take it earlier!

What’s it for if I can ask? How have you found it?

I take meds for depression/bipolar 2/anxiety. First given to me as a sleeping pill (After about 10 years of weird sleep patterns I finally broke down and said I’d try one), that only worked 50/50 so I stopped.
Now, in a double dose, I’m taking it as one of my mental meds. Doesn’t help that my circadian rhythms are off. So, I’m often more tired and sleepy during the day, even though no doctor believes me when I say that the drugs I take at night DON’T put me to sleep/help me stay asleep. The drug is Trazodone.
At least it isn’t as bad as some drugs I’ve had the effected my cognitive and motor skills (even after I stopped taking them), or the ones that would, in a second, turn me into a stumbling, staggering, falling, nodding off person who appeared to be a drunk or drug addict.
I also get weird drug hangovers. I take a pill one day, and the side effects show up the next day.
My body doesn’t react normally to most things. But then I’m not really normal anyway. ( – ;

I sympathize I also have unusual reactions to drugs. At this point doctors are unwilling to prescribe for fear of a bad reaction. I can’t take normal doses, I always take the lowest and still have side-effects. I have child-sized kidneys and have always wondered if that might be why drugs are problem for me. I have a strict sleeping schedule and it helps so much with my sleep paralysis. If I sleep past 7 I can become paralyzed and immobile for hours, awake in terror but unable to move unless I am physically woken up. Waking up at 6 has nearly eliminated the problem. I still have seizures as I am falling asleep. I tend to wake up a lot and when I get too deep my bp and heart rate get scarily low. I don’t think I am sleeping well even when I sleep because like you I am just so tired and hazy in the day. I hope you get some relief!

I can take larger doses of some drugs, and lower of others. Depends on the drug and what’s for. I build a tolerance quickly, so rather than keep increasing dosage, they shift to new drug.
Sleep paralysis sounds very scary. Mine is waking up in shifts. I used to sleep 2 hrs, wake up, go back to sleep, etc (no rem). Then different drugs and got down to 15 minutes and then wake up. Weirdest thing was when I slept in 2 hour shifts, I didn’t dream much. Now, in 10 to 15 minutes I have the most complex and complicated dream (although most follow one of several themes)
I hope you get some relief from your tiredness and haziness — I know how difficult it makes even everyday things. And with a child, it must be even more difficult.

I hope you get some proper sleep too! I have had very busy dreams lately there is so much happening all at once and so rapidly I wake up feeling exhausted!
