Join the LiveJournal Revival! Are you fed-up with garbage, full-of-shit sites where nobody actually communicates, such as Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr? Do you wish your old friends who've migrated to those sites would return to LiveJournal? The the_lj_revival community has been set up with that aim in mind, and you are invited to join it. If you are already on LiveJournal and still have a Facebook profile, and would like to see more people returning to LJ or setting up accounts here, we invite you to post a link to this community on your Facebook Timeline. If you would like to find out who is still using LiveJournal and make contact with those who are already here, you are invited to copy and paste the 'about me' questions on the profile page and post them with your answers to the community. My intro...:
Hi everyone! I am new here, so I figure I might as well do a survey thing for an easy intro. -I'm Chris, and I'm from Grand Junction, CO. I'm currently a senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design, studying illustration. -Some bands/artists that I'm listening to currently are: Meshuggah, Cloudkicker, Animals As Leaders, Woe of Tyrants, Serj Tankian, Hacride, Chimp Spanner, Howl, Opeth, Orphaned Land -So many musicians inspire me, from a grand scale to just small things, but some that come to mind are Buckethead, the guys from Nightwish (my first album that I've ever purchased was "Once"), Meshuggah, and King Crimson (I could thank them for making me feel proggy). -I don't particularly like naming favorite albums because my tastes change with time, but my current five faves are: Chaosphere (Meshuggah), The Power To Believe (King Crimson), Opeth (Blackwater Park), Master of Puppets (Metallica), and Lazerus (Hacride) -I've seen Slayer, Trivium, Buckethead, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, Behemoth, Manson, Chimaira, White Chapel, God Forbid, Cannibal Corpse, Bullet For My Valentine live. -I play the viola and the bass guitar. -I would love to meet Cloudkicker, James Hetfield, Robert Fripp or Akerfeldt. Meeting Buckethead would ruin the mystique. -Finally, I'd like to join this community because I've been searching high and low on LJ for a community that likes to discuss metal. I also had this crazy idea in my head that I might start reviewing albums and perhaps making album art, and have been searching for a place to maybe post them! So message me! Let me know what's good. |
