This is a community dedicated specifically to the romantic relationship between the characters Merlin and Arthur of the BBC show, Merlin. Here you can post fics, graphics, vids, and general rambling comments about your love for the boys.
Kinkalot is an annual porn fest run by and for the BBC Merlin fandom, following in the footsteps of such fabulous forebears as pornalot and the late, great Summer Pornathon. Throughout August, we host a new NSFW prompt challenge each week for participants and a free-for-all bonus challenge that is open to all comers. Participants are also allocated into teams, who then compete in our month-long Bingo and Commenting challenges for the honour of winning the (entirely fictitious) Kinkalot Cup.

WHAT TO SUBMIT:
Any and all pairings, ratings, and types of fanwork are welcome, provided they involve the BBC Merlin characters and focus on hurt/comfort of some description—check out our info post here for minimum wc and other requirements.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
This is a self-posting fest, so no sign-up is required. You also don’t have to be a member of the Tavernfest Discord server to participate, though you're welcome to join us if you wish (18+ only).
All you need to do to take part is:

The life of a fandom favourite can be tough. When you’re not running around after the prince, you’re busy doing chores for Gaius or fulfilling your destiny. You have to fight off griffins, witches, and bandits; you get punched, poisoned, and pelted with fruit; and all the while you have to hide who you truly are because if anyone finds out Uther will have you executed…and that’s just in canon!
Fortunately, however, there are some compensations—such as when a certain person (or persons) take it upon themselves to bathe your battered body and tenderly treat your wounds…🥰
Which is why, this February, we've decided to give our favourite BBC Merlin characters a little bit of well-deserved TLC. In other words, we’re devoting an entire month to that most beloved of fandom tropes: ❤️ HURT/COMFORT! ❤️
Guess what, Merthur fans? It’s almost that time of year again! Merthur Glompfest will be returning in 2021 for another round of fantastic fanworks, just for you 😘
What is a Glompfest, you ask?
A Glompfest is a gifting fest designed as a way for fandom creators to give back to those fans who wouldn’t usually be eligible to take part in a typical exchange fest.
How does it work?
Glompees (lurkers, readers, commenters, or fandom supporters of any stripe) will be asked to provide a prompt or prompts for glomping, which will then be claimed by Glompers (fandom creators, fic writers and fanartists) and filled according to the Glompee’s request. Completed works will then be posted to our AO3 Collection and shared on Tumblr for everyone’s enjoyment!

Hi! I was just wondering if anyone could recommend anything Merthur with the Round Table knights? I really wanted to read any stories of the two but I couldn't find any. I don't even know if this is the right forum for it, either.
Long time no post. Like literally, I can't remember when I last posted on LJ but I do still check it every day since I mod more than one community, including this one.
I wanted to make a quick post to let you all know since the image host TINYPIC is shutting down, the main layout for merlinxarthur is going to be messy. All the tiny images, as well as the headers and backgrounds I used for this layout, were all hosted on TinyPic. Photobucket is no longer free so while I look for an alternate website to host these images, it's going to look icky for awhile if you are looking at the main page. Also, since I really don't have the time at the moment to look for an alternate free image hosting site AND re-upload all the images on there AND find all the links in the html coding for the layout to replace them, I am not sure when I will be able to tweak it so it'll look nice again.
I apologize in advance! But if anyone has any ideas where I can host these images for free, let me know. Hopefully I find time to fix this. Thanks!

Hi everyone. I had a quick question about the term "Ho Yay!" and since I pretty much learned it here, I thought it might be okay to ask. I haven't been as active in fandom in recent years as I once was, but I was surprised when someone mentioned the term to me (not someone here) recently, because I'd thought it was... not out of date, exactly, but maybe not used very much anymore?

Therefore, we are currently looking for someone to fill in the AO3 Mod position as well. Past experience dealing with AO3 is preferred, but we will be able to take anyone who is willing to learn through a step by step of the process.
