Hello Vammers!

I am here to introduce you to a new fictional adventure. vamble

Vamble is a new community to serve all of your spontaneous fiction needs! Basically, it’s a drabble community. You can read all about it on the info page, but I’m here to entice you. Every week we will give you a prompt for a drabble and hopefully you will write whatever pops into your head. It can be as short as a line of dialogue, or you can take up an entire comment. The format makes it easy for people who have never posted before join the party, but it also helps seasoned writers think on their feet. On top of the weekly prompt, we will be doing other fun posts such as community stories, and writing prompts with other authors. You can also just drop in and post your independent drabble.

Hello fellow LJ-ers.

I am currently writing this post because I am a little uneasy with the LJ climate. I don't know if you all know, but LJ has started a new feature where you are able to post comments and link entries to your facebook and twitter accounts. You can read more here. (Trust me, I've tried to explain it and I fail at it. But I'm sure this post will freak a few of you out. Also, thank you honestdrinking for giving me the heads up...and possibly an ulcer. lol!)

My question is, how many of you out there on my F-list are actually going to use this feature? And I'm wondering if it is too much to ask for people to not to use it when commenting on one of my goofy stories? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

I'm asking this because I just finished a long-ish story and I feel sort of weird posting it. It feels uncomfortable having the story be linked without my control. I know, I post on communities and don't have my writing journal friends only, but it just seems like a hassle to have everyone who reads my stuff to have to friend me. But at the end of the day, I still care about my privacy.(I'm a walking contradiction, aren't I?)
