today i watched the bluebirds in flight....i love watching their gracefulness and they glide and dip and come back up again in the sky...birds are just lovely....

mariette and i stayed the day in and ate chocolate cupcakes, bits of wonderous cheesecake with strawberries and played and laughed and shared stories the other day....it's nice to have family especially when the rain pours.... |

today was a windy day and i didn't mind it so much...i love hearing the strong wind pushing through this great big house, finding it's way into the smallest crevices and trying to find a place to go...it's wonderful, especially when you live in an attic!!
i have been spending much time with my family, going over to their houses on different days of the week...speaking of family, the family who lives in this house, the lafleurs, their lovely little daughter nina just celebrated a birthday! they had the most glorious little party for her with streamers, balloons, family, friends and cake!!! the cake was scrumptious (good thing some wonderful morsels fell on the floor and mariette, miles and i were able to help "clean up" when no one was looking!)
nina is such a great little girl. you know, i think she knows about me...i once thought i was caught and i stood so still...but she just looked at me and smiled....she melts my heart...she deserved a great party and that's exactly what she had! as far as her party went, it wasn't many people, just those the lafleurs are especially close to...they are such a nice family and i love watching them with their family and friends. i feel so much love from them to others. ah, love is such a wonderful thing, it's just so beautiful....
i am happy for family...happy for all my brothers and sisters and momma and poppa and the rest of the mouse family...we should have a party soon too! that would be simply wonderful...i would love to see everyone in one place again, especially matthius. i do hope to get a visit soon from him. he lives anywhere and everywhere, a true adventurer and explorer! i love when he returns between places and tells us the greatest stories! he sees the most amazing places and meets the most interesting and equally amazing characters....one comes to mind, a little round bird he met once in central park....i believe her name is  keepsie ...she was this fantastic little bird with such an open and free spirit, flying above the greatest heights and watching the city from above...she seems wonderful...i just love birds, i love watching them...they are so carefree it seems...ah...life...it's just, what's the word? wonderful.... |

ah, so sweet...well, i believe margot is out enjoying the beautiful day, the rain has ceased and the sun is lovely and bright...margot and i would like to thank those of you who are watching her diary and we would like to propose a few questions to you, if you don't mind:

it's pouring hard...it has been for the last couple of days...i have been keeping myself busy though...making more scarves, more paper creations, exploring the attic...it's always fun here, and i think some of the best times are when it rains...the sound of the heavy plop-plops on the roof top, the rain rapidly falling down the triangular window way up high...sometimes i climb up there and just look outside...i could do that for hours....it's so lovely, so relaxing...sometimes i even see the birds frolicking, playing as the go from the phone lines to the nearest tree and back again, all the while tweeting away....they always look so happy and carefree...sometimes, just sometimes, i wonder if any one of them can see me here looking...if they do, i hope they don't mind.... |

i visited milton today and we had such a lovely time. mariette joined me after i visited her first to see what new fresh goodies she had. she had just acquired some wonderfully delicious miniature muffins, chocolate with cream cheese icing....mmmm...cream cheese...so, we wrapped them up, put them in a bag tied to our tails and we waited for the rain to die down a little. once it did, we were off, scurrying along the yard and up the big apple tree where milton lives...we had got there just in time too because the rain came down hard again but it did not dampen our spirits! we had those yummy muffins with hot apple cider and talked and laughed over silly stories and had the greatest time! i know milton was especially happy over the goodies we were able to bring to him...
mariette and i again waited for the rain to ebb and went merrily off back to our abodes. i love mariette! she is so sweet and i love spending time with her, as well as all my siblings. i said goodnight to her and went along my way, back up to the attic and into my little home in the wall...ah, home! home is so sweet! i took off my scarf and stared a litte at some of the foreign stamps my brother matthius has collected for me on his travels abroad. i have the up on my walls, they are so lovely! i soon began to feel a bit tired and it was so nice to curl up in my little teacup....and nimble on some more chocolate muffins... |

today is raining...i was thinking about visiting milton so i will have to bundle up and scurry off as quickly as i can to get the least amount of rain poured on me...i know most of us would rather stay inside and keep warm but i always think that 'sometimes it's just nice to do something nice for another'...that's my motto...and so i will visit milton, take another scarf to him and help him make some hot apple cider that we can drink together...maybe i will stop by mariette's first, see if she has any baked goodies and bring them to milton....i think he would like that...maybe mariette will come along too.. |

hello there...today was a cold day, especially here in the attic..it's ok, i decided to relax and curl up in my flowered teacup filled with cotton balls and scraps of soft fabrics...i drank my tea from my favorite thimble...i thought about my four brothers and two sisters, each with their own, distinct lives and how i love them all...i think i will go visit my favorite sister mariette...she lives behind the stove in the kitchen...she always has some sort of baked goodies either from mrs. lafleur's baking or from her friends that live behind the local bakery....i heard it's going to rain again...maybe i will visit milton too..he might need another scarf since he lives in the apple tree in the backyard....i love visiting milton...he is so hospitable and i love listening to his outdoor stories... |

hello all, this is a journal for margot. margot is a friend of mine who happens to be a cute little brown mouse who likes to wear a pink and white polka dot ribbon around her neck and enjoys peppermint tea (she uses porcelain thimbles for her refreshingly hot drinks). there are many things that are wonderful about margot, like how she makes her family scarves from leftover ribbons and yarn she finds at the house she lives in to how she like to make paper snowflakes with her little hands and teeth. there's so much more to know about margot.....
