hey i'm new and i've seen lick the star several times since i watch ifc religiously :)
here's a bit of info that might be a matter of interest:
filmmovement.com is kind of like netflix where they send you dvds in the mail except you get all independent/foreign films. each month they send you one full-length film and one short film on the same dvd. well, i was looking at their archives and one of the short films they featured was lick the star. it's on the dvd with a movie called Hop (look for that title). you can buy it for 29.95. it sucks that you can't buy the short film alone but i've scoured the internet and haven't been able to find it anywhere else.

ohhh Lordy! If this is heaven(which i hope it is) please let me know. This is so amazing and i'm just so dumbstruck that I can't even form my thoughts into sentences. :D
I saw this movie about a year ago... soon after I had seen virgin suicides...I took one look at it and thought to myself, damn this looks familair(sp?).WELL i had reason to think that beacuse both films were done by Sofia Coppola...am i not correct? I hope tjat I dont end up lookin like a major dumbass, but i swear its her film. YOU could tell. watch both the films, she's so good at what she does, she has this certain style about how she makes a film. maybe its just me..either way. Im in love with her and her movies, IF any of you know of anything else she did please tell me.

Who ever made this community i friqqen love you!!!! I love lick the star. It my favorite inde film. Do any of you have it, or know where i can download it? I've loves this movie for about two years now and as you can see my lj name is lickthestarz and so is every name for anything else i have and i made my lj about two years ago. hehe, anyway here is a picture of the girls in the movie, enjoy!

Ohmigaud!!! I saw this short flick YEARS ago on Bravo!!! It was about the time when I first became a feminist back in high school (5 years now??). I thought it was so cool and wanted to tape it, but neve heard anything about it after that. I thought it was just some random, obscure thing. I AM JUST SOOOOO EXCITED to have found this!!!!
