Do you need to pay for something at the library? Here are your options.
We accept RISDbucks at the Circulation desk on the library's first floor.
We accept cash at the Circulation desk and the Visual + Material Resource center desk.
To pay with a credit or debit card, use RISD's secure online payment portal.
Note: This can also be used to pay a bill for someone else (e.g. a child or partner), but please provide their name when filling out the form.
We only require repayment for lost (or very damaged) library materials. If you return what was borrowed in good condition, the fees will be erased. Learn more about bills here.
Another alternative to paying these bills is replacing items yourself. This is sometimes--but not always--less expensive, depending on what is available in online used book marketplaces. Please contact us if you'd like to explore this option (we're pros!), or if you'd like to discuss other special circumstances.
