noun: An action performed by a member of the species Homo sapiens that makes him/her look like a dog or a trained seal, or worse, a sheep. Examples would include the "are we there yet" trick children do in the car to annoy their parents, or adults who argue over such pointless things such as why their country/religion/race is better than all of the others.
hypocrite
noun:Something that every human being ever to have existed is, but most haven't realized it yet. We contradict ourselves every day, and it makes other humans point and laugh at us, or, if they're pulling stupid human tricks, agree blindly with our hypocritical opinions.
The reason why the community exists is simple: so we can laugh and point (or point and laugh, same difference) at the practitioners of hypocrisy and stupid human tricks, ourselves included. And we all need a little bit of satirical humor in our lives, even if it IS self-effacing.
COMM RULES
(please read before posting)
1.) Keep in mind that you are a target of scrutiny of others, just like the other six billon or so humans on this planet. If you don't like people pouncing on your opinions, even in a light, humorous manner, do NOT join this comm.
2.) Tact is a must. Always attack the trick and not the person. Ad hominem is a no-no, as is senseless flaming, even if you agree with the opinions of the flamer.
3.) Prepare to be humbled here. You're almost never right, no matter what you think, and there is room for improvement. Making fun of yourself is not only welcome, it's encouraged.
4.) COMM WORKINGS: Please post a link to a site (or journal entry) you find highly hypocritical/amusing/full of stupid human tricks. You may then rant about it. Personal experiences for now are null, since your view of it may make the actual event subjective. I would rather it come straight from the horse's mouth, or from a more objective source (a news site).
5.) THIS IS REAL-LIFE WANK. (That should explain it...)
So, I welcome you to the most brutal and enlightening humor/complaint comm on LJ. (I think.)
